Story
🎵 “If you’ll be my Honeysuckle, I’ll be your Honeybee…” 🎵 Just like her name, Honeybee is pure sweetness. At just 3½–4 months old, this fluffy golden girl is already stealing hearts. With her adorable white markings, oversized paws, and extra puppy skin, she’s still growing into herself—and she’s going to be one stunning dog when she does. Honeybee’s rescue story began when she was found wandering aimlessly down the middle of a dangerous road with no homes nearby. A kind-hearted Good Samaritan, who had sadly seen far too many animals meet tragic ends on that same stretch of road, stopped to bring her to safety. Honeybee had no microchip, and no one ever came looking for her. Their loss is most definitely someone else’s incredible gain. Since arriving in foster care, Honeybee has settled in beautifully. She’s never met a stranger and believes everyone—whether they have two legs or four—is a potential new best friend. She loves romping and wrestling with her foster dog siblings, happily joins in family life with kids and teenagers, and when playtime is over, she crashes hard and sleeps like a rock. She’s already crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is learning all the important puppy manners. She’s figuring out that jumping up to say hello isn’t necessary and that just because the kitchen counter smells amazing doesn’t mean it’s a buffet! Honeybee is smart, eager to learn, and loves to please. She’s playful and confident without being bossy, happily holding her own with the other dogs in her foster home. Like any puppy her age, she’ll need a family committed to continuing her training, giving her plenty of exercise, and helping her grow into the amazing dog she’s destined to become. In return, you’ll get a loyal, goofy, affectionate—and most likely very large—best friend who will fill your home with laughter, adventures, and unconditional love. If you’ve been looking for your own little Honeybee, we think she’s been looking for you, too. 🐝💛 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Meet Molly, a beautiful 7-year-old Golden Retriever with a heart full of love and a lifetime of loyalty to give. If you're looking for one devoted companion to share your life with, Molly just might be everything you've been hoping for.Molly recently lost the only family she had ever known through no fault of her own. While she doesn't understand why her world changed, it hasn't changed the loving, affectionate dog she has always been. It's easy to see that Molly spent her early years in a caring home. She has decent house manners and knows all the basics, including sit, stay, leave it, and more. She loves showing off her skills and is always eager to please. The one area she's still working on is leash walking. She can become vocal when she sees other dogs on walks and may pull or occasionally decide she'd rather stop than keep going. With patience, consistency, and continued positive training, she's sure to make progress.Around the house, Molly is a delightful companion with moderate exercise needs. She enjoys a good game of fetch when the mood strikes, happily chews on her favorite bones, plays with her toys, and is just as content relaxing close to her favorite person. A securely fenced yard would be her dream, giving her the freedom to run, explore, and enjoy life safely.Molly does well with older, respectful children, though she can occasionally forget her manners and greet people with an enthusiastic jump when she's excited. She would also love a home where someone is around much of the time, as being close to her people is truly what makes her happiest.Molly has a history of not getting along well with other dogs and is looking for a home where she can be the one and only pet. She isn't looking to share the spotlight—in fact, she'd much rather have all of your love and attention to herself. For the right family, that won't feel like a sacrifice at all. Molly's loyalty, affection, and wonderful personality are more than enough to fill a home with love. If you're ready to make one incredible dog the center of your world, Molly is ready to make you the center of hers.Name: Molly GoldenBreed: Golden Retriever (Breed mix is not guaranteed-no DNA testing done).Sex: FemaleAge: 7 years Weight: 56lbs Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 10 will be consideredGood with Dogs: Needs to be only dogGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00 $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee for Massachusetts residents.Location of dog currently: New England IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.
