Story
Adoption donation $799      Age: 4 months of 5/24/2024        weight 13 lbs        John Boy is a sweet, adorable puppy who is all wiggles and kisses, he is a darling quiet boy, very mellow for his ages. John Boy’s mother is a rat terrier of about 27 pounds and we believe dad is a small golden receiver/white lab.      John Boy’s mom showed up as a stray to a home in rural Mississippi house and gave birth a couple of days later. Wags took in the family of eight, taking care of them, giving the puppies their shots, and is now helping them find loving homes.       John Boy spent his early months with his mom and siblings, romping and playing and snuggling into a big puppy pile to nap. John boy loves to play with the other dogs in the home and ignores  the cat. He rides well in the car and is loving and a cuddle bug.  He is housebroken as long as he goes out regularly but may need additional guidance when he adjusts to a new home.     John Boy arrived in the northeast on Saturday, April 20 and settled in quickly in his new foster home, he will be neutered in the northeast when he is older, his neuter is included in his adoption fee at one of the clinics Wags uses or the rescue will reimburse adopters what we pay if you choose to use your own vet.   Wags is a struggling 501 C3 in rural Mississippi where one woman cares for 150 stray and abandoned dogs, many of whom are older or have medical issue and  require expensive vet care. Adoption donations are the only way we can afford to care for the older and sick dogs at the rescue.   For more information about adopting John Boy  please email his foster mom at mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com.April 24, 2024, 8:31 am

This is Spud! Spud is a young, handsome, potato mix breed! Our boy Spud is an absolute ball of energy. Spuds favorite things to do are go for long walks and zoom around the play yard. He enjoys playing tug and fetch and would be a great addition to your family! Spud can get jumpy at times and could use some work on his basic commands. It is best he goes home as the only pet and with adults only! If you are interested in meeting this boy, apply for him on our website!

To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application  HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see  HERE Age: 2 Months (as of 4/10/2024) Weight: 7 - 10 Lbs (as of 4/12/2024)   This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped.   Rescued from a dire situation, these adorable puppies and their loving momma were abandoned in a ditch at just 10 days old, they were lucky to be found by a compassionate young couple who took them in and cared for them until help arrived. Now, they're ready to spread their joy to new families.   These fuzzy bundles of joy are as sweet as can be, with hearts full of love to give. They may be young, but they've already mastered the art of melting hearts with their puppy eyes and soft, fluffy fur. Their energy is boundless, typical of any puppy, and they're eager to explore the world around them. While they're still learning the ropes of puppyhood, they've got the "cute" factor down to a science. With a little patience and guidance, they'll thrive in their new homes and become beloved members of the family.   If you're ready to open your heart and home to one of these precious pups apply today. Your love and care could make all the difference in their journey to a brighter future. Adopt and experience the unconditional love that only a rescue pet can provide!   An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see  HERE  for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website: www.sosarl.org/aa/   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix.
