Story
Introducing Goldilocks, a petite golden retriever mix with a heart of gold.If we could sum up Goldi in one word, it would be "chill." With her calm, submissive demeanor and minimal barking, she's the epitome of tranquility. Though initially shy, Goldi's gentle nature is blossoming daily, and she's gradually gaining confidence.Goldi thrives in a serene environment and would thrive best in a home without a lot of commotion. While she may have spent most of her time outdoors before entering foster care, she's adapting well to indoor living and mastering the art of lounging around the house. She's potty trained and knows how to signal when nature calls. This lovely lady enjoys leisurely walks and relishes meeting new human and canine friends along the way. While she's been great with kids during walks, the energy of young children may be overwhelming for her so that a quieter household would suit her best. Similarly, while she enjoys the company of other dogs, she's more comfortable in small groups rather than bustling doggy daycares.Goldi truly shines when surrounded by other furry companions, so she'll only be adopted into a home with another confident, playful dog. And if you have a fenced-in yard, even better—she adores frolicking and rolling around in the grass to her heart's content.Despite her heartworm-positive status, Goldi has completed her pre-treatment and is gearing up for her heartworm treatment, which PAWS New England fully covers. If Goldi sounds like your ideal furry companion, don't hesitate to submit your application today!Name: GoldilocksBreed: Golden Retriever/CrossbreedSex: FemaleAge: 1-2 years  (estimated)Weight: 40 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: Yes, must have one in her new home.Good with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00\Location of dog currently:  New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Missy, Lost her Dad a year ago and now her mom has fallen ill and is now entering a nursing home. I started watching Missy as a pet sitter last year and we first met her mom had been taken off by the ambulance and her comes this stranger into her home to let her out. She wasn’t sure of me at first but some good pets and treats we were best friends. Missy is such a sweetheart all she wants is loving from you. She wants you to be outside with her while she does her thing but once she is done she wants to go in to get her belly rubs. She loves to go for walks, she never pulls on the leash. She would love to sit with her owners and keep the company. She has a cat sister and they hang out with each other. Missy is easy going and loves to be where ever you are. She is an easy going dog. She would make a great addition to anyone’s home.
