Story
Blossom’s journey to safety hasn’t been an easy one — she came into Paws New England after suffering a serious injury that nearly cost her a hind leg. Thanks to the incredible care of Dr. Parker in Memphis, Blossom is healing beautifully and making steady progress every day. We’re still taking her recovery slow and steady, but she’s improving daily and showing just how resilient she truly is. Check her out during an enjoyable stroll: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZJwVD05v24 Blossom is an absolute stunner — we believe she may be a Pyr/Husky mix (one baby photo hints at it!), and her striking looks are matched by the sweetest soul. Her foster mom adores her and describes her as incredibly gentle, loving, and affectionate.True to her “Pyr” roots, Blossom lives for the outdoors. She would happily spend her days lounging in the yard, soaking up fresh air, and watching the world go by. Because of this, a securely fenced yard (at least 6 feet) is a non-negotiable requirement for her future home. Of course, that doesn’t replace daily walks, enrichment, and adventures — Blossom will also benefit from leash walks and exploring beyond the backyard as she continues to regain strength.Blossom still has a bit of healing ahead but should be ready to head north to New England by mid- to late March, where she hopes to find the loving forever family she so richly deserves. Her beauty may catch your eye — but it’s her calm, charming, and devoted personality that will truly steal your heart. Blossom is ready to blossom in a home of her own. Story
Meet Petunia. She is a 1 year old, female, Golden Retriever mixed breed (we think). She was found as a stray and she can't wait for a forever home. Petunia is what we lovingly call a "professional leaner". If you stop to say hello, she’ll press her entire body right up against you and she is perfectly content just being close. Personal space? Not really her thing and honestly, we’re completely okay with that. She appears to do well with other dogs and enjoys making new friends, both canine and human. Petunia thrives on connection and would love a home where she can be part of everyday life rather than watching it from the sidelines. Although Petunia has a wonderful personality, her time spent as a stray means she would feel most comfortable and secure in a home without children under 12. She weighs 56 lbs currently and could stand to put on a little weight. She is up to date on vaccinations and has been spayed. Story
As everyone knows, when life sends lemons, make Lemonade. In a dog's life we might not know what Lemons are, but we know how to make Lemonade and make you smile. My name is Simon and this is my story. I was found as a stray in a town who has a kill shelter. The shelter is full most of the time. The man who found me knows this. So instead of taking me to the shelter, he took me home. This nice man kept me safe, clean, and well fed. I in turn kept him good company, and entertained. One day, this man reached out to a friend who knows the rescue who is helping me find the perfect home. My foster family has 1 dog, cats unknown and grandchildren who come over to visit. I love this busy, caious. Best anyone can tell, I am a Golden Aussie. I am ready to start my journey home. Please email a request for an application alittlelonger2home@gmail.com .
