Honey is a smart, affectionate, and energetic girl looking for an active family to call her own! She loves playing fetch, enjoys walks and outdoor adventures, and gets along great with other dogs. Honey is crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn. She's made wonderful progress in foster care and thrives with positive reinforcement and consistency. She walks well with a no-pull harness and will continue to blossom with a little leash training. Honey would do best in a home without cats or other small animals due to her high prey drive. Like many young dogs, she can be a bit of a counter-surfer, so continued training and structure will help her succeed. If you're looking for a fun, loyal companion who's always ready for the next adventure, Honey is ready to meet you!

Story
Purchased from a breeder in st Joesph in March 2024 as a puppy. He had all his puppy shots but has not been back for follow up shots. Our three oldest kids are now in college and out of the house most of the day. My husband and I run several businesses and with our two youngest children we are very rarely at home. He is overall very well behaved, house trained and is inside most of the day, but loves playing outside and does well with invisible fence. He can follow basic commands (sit, shake, come). He has had lots of time with my parents German Sheppard and does very well around him. Has been around children of all ages (infant to adult). With several kids we have a very loud and eventful house, he loves to just lay around and relax. Has been kennel trained for overnights and when we are gone for a longer period of time and does well. Loves car rides!!

Story
Clover is an approximately 4 year old poodle mix.  While in rescue, she delivered three beautiful, healthy puppies.  She has been a great mom to her puppies, but enjoys getting away for some fresh air and sunshine many times each day.  She seems to be fully housetrained, and even knows a few commands (sit, high-five, come, and down).  She is a very sweet girl who loves attention from her foster parents.  She seems to do well with other dogs of all sizes but will give a warning if they get too close to her babies.  When the babies are nowhere near, she enjoys being part of the pack. This sweet girl does well on a leash and enjoys taking walks with her family but doesn’t seem to need a lot of exercise.  She does want to chase rabbits and squirrels, so she would do well in a fenced yard.  We have her on a trolley cable where she is able to run a small amount, and she does nicely with that too. Clover seems to want to stay off furniture and doesn’t run, jump or chew indoors.  It appears she was very well trained.  Once she is finished raising her puppies, we think she would make an ideal family pet and could do well with more advanced training.  She’s such a happy-go-lucky girl that we think she’d do well in a variety of settings If you are looking for a lovable pup to join you with any of life’s adventures, Clover’s your girl!         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Rio – is a 9 week old lab mix puppy with light tan fur and beautiful green eyes.  He’s the largest of his litter of three, with a “gentle giant” demeanor.  He is the most independent of the group, and likes to explore on his own, or grab a toy and find a quiet area to play.  He’s definitely a leader, not a follower amongst his siblings.  Rio is quite affectionate, and enjoys running up to humans for some snuggle time.  He isn’t a big fan of being carried, so a gentle but firm hand is needed so he doesn’t wriggle out of your arms.  Rio and his siblings are quite lab-like in personality – they love to run, wrestle, and play tug-of-war.  Rio enjoys playing in his kiddie pool, and loves to chase the sprinkler or hose.  The pups have been in a large open pen, but we’re starting to crate train for short periods.  They settle in quickly and remain quiet through the night.  In fact, this litter has always been pretty quiet, making noises mainly when hungry.  They have been a dream to foster!  Potty training is still a ways away, but all three pups are learning to run straight to the door when coming out of their kennel in the morning or at meal times.  Rio will likely grow to be fairly large, so a home with adequate space would be best.  A fenced yard with room to roam would be wonderful, but with consistent training he could do well in other settings.  If you think this could be a good fit for your home, Rio would love to meet you!         Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hudson – is a 9 week old lab mix puppy with chocolate brown fur and pretty hazel eyes.  He’s the “middle child” of his litter of three, with a happy-go-lucky demeanor.  He is the mama’s boy of the group, and loves to learn from her.  He’s definitely a social boy who really enjoys human interaction.  In addition to following his mom around, Hudson loves to go for walks with humans, managing to stay right on our heels (but somehow never ends up underfoot).   Hudson and his siblings are quite lab-like in personality – they love to run, wrestle, and play tug-of-war.  Hudson is all about enjoying life – if it’s time to play, run, explore, swim, eat, dig, climb, he’s all in with gusto.
