Copper is our family dog, and we’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old after bringing him home from Park City, Utah. He is almost 4 years old. Our family has grown, and we simply don’t have the time to give him the attention and activity he deserves. Copper is happy, playful, very obedient, and loves being outside, running on our 2 acres, and chasing a ball. He does well indoors for 6–8 hours and has been around other dogs and chickens. He eats a healthy organic/non-processed diet and no table scraps. We want to be fully transparent that over nine months ago, our 3-year-old gave him a treat while he was in his dog house and Copper nipped him once, drawing a small amount of blood. There have been no biting incidents since or before this. Copper would do best in a home with room to play and people who can give him regular attention, exercise, and love. Ideally, I think adults, because he never has issues with adults.

This happy 3-year-old Double Doodle is a total love bug who thinks life is best enjoyed at full speed. Fetch is her favorite game, and she’ll happily bring the ball right back so you can throw it again. She loves walks, exploring the yard, watching for squirrels, and joining her people on adventures. And after all that fun? Poppy is perfectly content to curl up beside you on the couch and enjoy some snuggle time. Poppy is house-trained, crate-trained, loves car rides, and enjoys playing with other dogs. She can be enthusiastic and sometimes forgets just how big she is, so older children and a canine companion closer to her size would be the best fit. She’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only and soaking up all the attention. Poppy is looking for an active family who will give her plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and opportunities to explore. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for this girl who loves to run, retrieve, and keep an eye on those mischievous squirrels! We got Levi at the age of 2 months, he is a good puppy but he has high anxiety and energy. He needs a yard to run around and play. We live in an apartment and don’t have the means to help him with his energy. So he chews on things, like pillows, wood. We just don’t have the time for him or train him like he really needs.

Story
Meet Maui!  Maui is a fun, goofy, high energy guy who is looking for a home that can keep up with him! He absolutely LOVES getting out and doing things. Walks are one of his favorites, and he’s even happy running alongside a bike. If you’re looking for a dog to join you on adventures, Maui is ready to go! Maui loves toys, but fair warning this boy needs the BIG, durable ones. He plays hard and has a blast doing it but he will swallow small toys / things he gets into his mouth.  He’s also a total love bug. Maui loves attention, affection, and being close to his people. One of his favorite ways to show his excitement is by jumping up to give “hugs.” We’ve been working with him on waiting until he’s invited, and he’ll need someone willing to keep reinforcing those manners. When Maui gets excited or overstimulated, he can also get mouthy/nippy. It’s more than the gentle puppy mouthing you might expect, but it isn’t aggressive biting. He’ll do best with someone who understands energetic dogs and can continue working with him on appropriate play and boundaries. Also would consider not having small children handle him until that is more under control.  And somehow, underneath ALL that energy, Maui has a couch potato setting. Once he’s gotten his energy out, he’s perfectly happy curling up next to you for some serious cuddle time.  Maui would be a great match for an active person or family who wants a goofy, affectionate adventure buddy and is willing to give him the exercise, structure, and continued training he needs. He has a whole lot of personality and an even bigger desire to be loved.              Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
