Story
Kobe is a very beautiful and handsome 2-year-old and 64-lb Doodle — but please read his description carefully, as he is a dog that needs consistent training with clear boundaries. Kobe was surrendered by a family with young children and his energy was too much for their growing family. When he first arrived at Pet Rescue, he was full of pent-up energy which resulted in excessive barking, jumping, and mouthiness. One of our volunteers took him under her wing and discovered that the best approach is to calm him first. Speaking to him in a soft, calm voice, petting him with soothing strokes, and rewarding calm behavior has made all the difference. When he is relaxed, he can go for a walk. High-value treats, reassurance, and calm pets help redirect him when passing people and other dogs. Once he trusts you, he is affectionate, calm, and much easier to handle. He walks nicely beside you, does not pull, and shows little reactivity. When he is overstimulated, he becomes jumpy and mouthy. Kobe will need regular exercise where he can run off his energy and then he enjoys quiet affection. He is intelligent, eager to please, and most of all, wants to be part of a family. Kobe is looking for a calm home (without young children) with a consistent daily routine that provides him with structure, boundaries, and exercise. If you think you are Kobe's perfect match, please submit an application directly to Petrescue website at www.ny-petrescue.org and we will set an appointment. Only applications submitted directly to Petrescue will be considered.

Jayco is a loving dog. We truly are in love with him. He was a rescue. He’s amazing with kids dogs people everyone in general unfortunately we got him with my other siblings, and they moved away, so the whole responsibility has been on me and unfortunately, I’m never home and it’s unfair to Jayco to be a home all alone that’s why we’re looking for a good home where people can love him and be able to spend time with him

Story
Hudson is our 3 year-old hypoallergenic Goldendoodle. When we adopted Hudson he had a tumor growing in his mouth which required surgery. He had a rostral mandibulectomy where he is missing the lower part of his jaw. Even with all that he can still play, catch his ball, and eats like normal. Just a little more drooly. He is loyal, intelligent, playful, and loving. He doesn’t chew household items, unless they are his toys. We have two kids and he doesn’t touch their toys ever. He loves to play fetch and tug of war. Potty trained to go outside and very well trained all around. Hudson is meant for a family of older kids and adults. He IS a reactive dog when he sees people and dogs on a car ride and on a leash. He needs to be with experienced dog owners. He does well at dog parks. He has great recall off leash, but if there are people around just call him back. We can discuss more detail about his reactivity traits. I can send more pics and videos too.

Story
Meet June! 🤍 If your idea of the perfect day includes a leisurely walk, a cozy couch, and a dog curled up beside you asking for belly rubs, then June is about to steal your heart. This adorable 5-year-old, 41-pound Doodle mix is the definition of a gentle soul. Sweet, calm, and incredibly affectionate, June's favorite place is right next to her people. Whether she's resting her head on your shoulder, rolling over for belly rubs, or offering you her paw, she's always looking for a little extra love. June is on the submissive side and has a soft, easygoing personality. She's happiest in a calm home where she can build her confidence at her own pace. Because of her gentle nature, we think she'd do best in a home with older, respectful children who understand how to let a shy dog settle in comfortably. This lovable girl is fully house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides great in the car, and rarely barks. She's content going for a nice stroll around the neighborhood just as much as she's content curling up for an afternoon nap. While she's living with another dog, she's more of an observer than a playmate, happily coexisting without needing to be the center of attention. June already knows sit, come, and paw, and she's eager to please. She doesn't resource guard and has wonderful house manners—just remember to keep tempting snacks off the counter because this clever girl may occasionally help herself if food is left within reach! With her soft, low-shedding coat, loving heart, and calm demeanor, June is the kind of dog who will quietly become your very best friend. All she's looking for is a family who will give her the patience, love, and belly rubs she deserves. If you're looking for a loyal shadow and the sweetest snuggle buddy around, June is ready to make herself right at home. Story
Meet Tommy Bahama — A Little Angel Who Just Wants to Be Loved   Tommy Bahama is a 3–4-year-old silver and white Poodle who has already learned just how hard life can be—and somehow, through it all, he has remained one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you could ever meet.   Tommy was the victim of an eviction situation where a tenant simply left him and his three sons behind. When he was found, he was extremely thin, covered in ticks and fleas, and so severely matted that most of his beautiful coat had to be shaved away. Only the hair on his head and ears could be saved. It was obvious that this little boy had not been given the care he deserved.   But Tommy doesn't seem to hold any of that against the world.   Instead, he is an absolute angel. He is incredibly sensitive, calm, affectionate, and loving. What he seems to crave most is simply being close to someone. His favorite thing is to gently lay his head on you—and if you will let him, he will happily put his whole body on you and soak up every bit of affection you are willing to give. Tommy is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is good with both cats and other dogs. He has a wonderfully calm nature, making him an incredibly easy boy to have around. He seems grateful for every bit of kindness he receives.   And while Tommy is currently very calm, we have a feeling there is a playful little personality hiding underneath all that exhaustion and uncertainty. As his body heals, his coat grows back, and he realizes that he is finally safe, we can't wait to see more of the happy boy that has been waiting to emerge.   Tommy is the kind of dog who doesn't ask for much. He just wants to be near his person, loved, included, and safe. After everything he has been through, we would love to see him in a home where affection is abundant and someone will appreciate what a special soul he is.   He walks well, is house trained, gets along with other animals, has a gentle temperament, and is overflowing with love. Tommy truly is the total package.   All this sweet boy needs now is someone who will show him that being loved isn't something he has to earn—that he is finally home. ❤️     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 16, 2026, 11:27 am

Story
Corky ❤️ A Sweet Boy Just Waiting to Feel Safe Corky is a handsome little poodle mix, who is about a year old and weighing 53 pounds, has been through a pretty big change in his young life. Corky and his brothers were left behind at a cabin when the renter moved away. For these dogs, that cabin and the life they knew was their entire world — and suddenly, everything familiar was gone. The man who raised them just disappeared and abandoned them. Because of that, Corky is understandably very shy when he is in a new or unfamiliar situation. New places, new people, and especially busy environments can be overwhelming for him here in his first week of being away from the original place he was born. If you take the time to slow down and let Corky figure things out at his own pace, you begin to see a completely different dog. Once Corky honestly settles in and realizes he is safe, he is an incredibly sweet boy. When we met him in a setting where he felt more comfortable, he was friendly and gentle. The shy behavior we see in unfamiliar places isn't who Corky is at his heart — it's simply how he copes when he isn't sure what is happening around him. Corky has lived with other dogs, including his dad and brothers, and seems comfortable having canine companionship around him. He enjoyed being outside and having the familiar routine of his previous life. We think another confident, friendly dog could potentially be a wonderful companion for him as he learns to trust and experience new things. Please don't let his initial shyness fool you — this boy is smart! Corky is very trainable and has so much potential. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and someone willing to celebrate the little victories, we believe his confidence will continue to grow. He may need a little extra time in the beginning, but every step forward will be worth it.   At the vet, Corky is especially shy and overwhelmed, which isn't surprising given everything that is new to him. But when he is somewhere he feels comfortable, we see that sweet personality starting to emerge. He just needs someone who understands that trust isn't built overnight.   Corky will do best with an adopter who is willing to support him on his journey rather than expect him to immediately be the confident, outgoing dog he may eventually become. He needs someone patient and kind, someone who will give him a safe place to decompress, a predictable routine, and plenty of encouragement. There is something especially rewarding about watching a shy dog realize that he is finally home. We believe Corky has the potential to become a wonderful, loving companion once he has the security and stability he has been missing. He didn't choose to be left behind. He didn't choose to have his whole world change. But with the right person beside him, Corky can learn that the next chapter of his life can be so much better than the first.    Corky is looking for someone who will give him the time, patience, and love he needs to blossom. In return, we think he will give you something pretty special — the joy of watching a sweet, smart little dog finally discover that he is safe, loved, and home.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in being the lifechanging person and family in Corky's life. Story
Marley Girl is a happy, outgoing  8 year old Aussie Doodle with a heart full of love and lots of years and life left to share. This young senior girl is looking for a new home through no fault of her own because her natural herding instincts have taken over and she is chasing the chickens at her former home.  Apparently eggs are more important than sweet Marley.   This girl at 8 years is not too big and just 45 pounds and has lived with another dog during her life and also cats.  Chickens are different for dogs and so she is looking for a new place to live.  Marley is is fully house trained and potty trained, She loves riding in a car and enjoys watching the scenery go by as she rides shotgun. While Marley has a few years behind her she has so many more ahead of her.
