She was rescued from a pack of wild dogs. She was the only friendly dog among the pack and the one picked on. She loves people, even strangers, but doesn't particularly like other animals. Athena needs to be the only dog in a home and she also values her personal space when it comes to cats. She doesn't like baths, but she loves to play fetch and cuddle. Athena is spayed and approximately 80lbs about two years old. She is currently with Ozark Homeward Bound animal rescue in Harrison, Arkansas. LOCAL TN ADOPTION ONLY. The good.....He is kennel trained. Goes in very easily with treats. Will run right in if a treat is thrown in there. Will bark for a few minutes but settles. If he’s in a crate, in a room alone and he hears a lot of commotion, he will bark. If you’ve left and the house is quiet, he’s quiet. He’s great in the kennel if someone is in the same room with him though. He likes being with his people. He happily snoozes in an open kennel during the day if you’re working from home and the kennel is near your work area.Scooby is a goof! There’s not much he takes too seriously. Besides treats. Treats are serious business! He will do just about anything for a treat. Even stuff he really doesn’t want to do. But treats are life. He’s overall an easy dog that is sweet, happy, cuddly and isn’t overly energetic. He loves playing and is a bulldozer but he relaxes and naps a lot too. He doesn’t require mass amounts of exercise. He is more than happy to lounge around in bed and watch tv with his humans. The bad...He snores. It’s not quiet...He hates small dogs, if your neighbor has one he will make it his lifes mission to eradicate it. He is generally good on a leash until aforementioned small dog walks up, then he will happily chill with you while you recover from your rotator cuff repair. We are listing Oliver for one simple reason-we are a sheep farm and after almost 6 months with us, it turns out he has a very strong prey drive for our livestock! This is a great sadness to us as he is otherwise a very sweet and gentle dog who has shown zero aggression towards our domestic animals or humans (and we are a busy place with many visitors). We adopted after losing an elderly Great Dane whom we took in as a hospice foster (but who lived for close to two years!). We fell in love with the breed. Oliver is almost three now-still somewhat of a puppy-his original owner was not able to give him enough exercise and Oliver spent a lot of time crated. We have never crated him in our home and he gets and needs a lot of exercise. He is a sweet guy who would do well with another dog and active humans. He is a smuggler (despite his size) and loves his orange pig, Mr. Blue and all tennis balls. He needs space! And no sheep. Please come meet this sweet boy.

Watching him lope after balls with his long gangly legs will definitely put a smile on your face! Wally's kind eyes always seem to be watching and waiting for his turn to go for a walk. When he sees that leash, his whole body wiggles, his face lights up, and he does a little happy dance with those long legs of his. This big boy is super smart and loves learning new things. He's been working hard on his loose leash walking skills, as well as some other basic obedience and is making great progress! If treats are involved, Wally is ready to perform!! Wally will be happiest as the only pet. Due to his size, we feel he can join a home with older children (older 10+). He may look serious in his photos, but he's really a happy go lucky guy!
