Story
King is a big sweet boy looking for a family to love and spoil him rotten. Though still a puppy at heart, he’s estimated to be 8-9 years old. King weighs about 72 pounds, but will be closer to 80 pounds when he fills out. Despite not having known much human kindness throughout his life, he adores people and loves to be next to someone whenever he can. He gets along with other dogs, but we think he might be happiest as an only dog in the home so that he can soak up all the attention he has been longing for. King is housebroken and has nice house manners, so he hasn’t needed to be crated in his foster home. King’s foster mom says “He’s so playful and sweet! He loves to carry around a toy all the time and especially loves squeaky toys. He is super friendly and will lean up against anyone who pets him. He has been great with my 11 yr old boys. He sleeps in their room and loves to cuddle. He takes food gently, and knows sit and shake commands too.” King is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventives. At about 65 pounds, he’s a playful, goofy boy who loves toys, food, and being part of the action. He’s smart, eager to learn, and incredibly food-motivated, the perfect combo for training. Kevin is a social butterfly with people and enjoys making new friends. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and always ready for a good time, whether it’s a romp outside or hanging with his favorite humans.His ideal forever home would have a fenced-in backyard where he can run to his heart’s content. Kevin does have leash reactivity, so he needs an experienced adopter who’s ready to put in the time and consistency he deserves. With structure, training, and patience, this boy will absolutely thrive. If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion and you’re ready to help a smart dog reach his full potential, Kevin is your guy.
