Hi, I’m Dudley.   I’m not quite ready to be adopted, but you can come back here occasionally to check my progress and find out when to submit an application. Dog’s Name: Dudley Location: Wadesville, IN Date of Birth: 03/16/2023 Gender: Male Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 108 Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Dudley Dudley is a super sweet boy.  He has a gentle, affectionate nature and forms strong bonds once he feels comfortable.  He seems to have a soft spot for women and may take a little extra time to warm up to men, but with patience and kindness, Dudley’s loving personality really shines through.   Dudley also has a fun, playful side! He loves toys and enjoys playtime, making him a great mix of cuddly companion and playful pup. Because he forms such strong bonds, Dudley would do best with an adopter who is patient during the initial adjustment period and understands that building trust takes time. Once that connection is made, he will reward you with endless affection and loyalty. We are still learning what Dudley’s ideal home looks like in terms of other dogs and environment, but his sweet nature makes him a wonderful candidate for a variety of homes willing to give him the love and security he deserves. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will truly become your shadow and your best friend, Dudley might be your perfect match. Hi, I’m Paprika and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Paprika Location: New Smyrna Beach, FL Date of Birth: 1/20/2020 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 130 Gets along with: Dogs?: MUST utilize a slow introduction with dogs Cats?:  None Kids?:  Unknown Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Startles easily, but rides Well in car once she settles in Meet Paprika Paprika is a gentle, observant, and deeply loyal Great Dane who is settling beautifully into home life. She has a sensitive and thoughtful personality, taking time to assess new situations before relaxing. In the home, she is calm and affectionate, enjoying long naps on her bed and being near her people without being overly needy. She’s learning a healthy balance between connection and independence and is becoming more comfortable each day. She also has a playful side, occasionally showing off zoomies and play bows as her confidence grows. Paprika is very food-motivated and enjoys enrichment activities like Kongs, making her fun to engage with. She is smart and highly trainable, already knowing cues like “touch,” “come,” and “with me,” and she thrives with calm, consistent guidance. On walks, she is making great progress, learning to stay connected and recover quickly from excitement around new or fast-moving things. Paprika can be sensitive to sudden or close-up interactions, especially with unfamiliar people, and does best with slow introductions and clear boundaries. She is incredibly tuned-in to her people, often checking in and learning to rely on them for reassurance. Paprika would do best in a calm, structured home that can provide patience and consistency as she continues to build confidence. With the right environment, she will be an incredibly devoted and rewarding companion. Paprika would do best in a calm, structured home with adopters who appreciate a sensitive and thoughtful dog. She thrives with routine, clear guidance, and calm, consistent leadership, and will continue to make great progress with ongoing training. She could live happily as the only dog or with a calm, well-balanced companion, and while a fenced yard would be a nice bonus for safe decompression, it is not required as long as her adopter is committed to providing structured walks and meeting her exercise and enrichment needs. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online. Hi, I’m Sadie and I’m new to the rescue. I am currently decompressing and getting used to my foster family. Check back as my foster family learns more about me! Dog’s Name: Sadie Location: McHenry Date of Birth: 03/15/2023 Gender: Female Breed: Great Dane Color: Fawn Dog's Weight: 138 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?:  All Cats Kids?: All kids Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Sadie – Your Gentle, Loving Velcro Girl Sadie is a gentle, sensitive soul who is still learning that the world is a safe and loving place. This beautiful big girl may take a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she will completely melt your heart. When meeting new people, Sadie can be unsure and may bark or growl to express her nervousness—but she has shown no aggression. With a little patience and reassurance, she settles in quickly and reveals her true nature: a sweet, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to her person. Sadie is incredibly human-oriented and will happily follow you from room to room. Once you’ve earned her trust, she looks to you for comfort and guidance—and she’ll thank you with the sweetest little face kisses Because of her size, Sadie may accidentally bump into smaller children, but she truly enjoys being around kids. She’s also met a cat and did great—what a good girl! She is still building confidence and can be startled by loud noises, sudden movements, or unfamiliar situations. She’s making progress every day, but she’ll need a patient adopter who will continue helping her grow at her own pace. She’s especially nervous at the vet and may need medication for visits until she feels more secure. Sadie is crate trained and does well during a full workday, but she would thrive most in a home where someone is around more often. She would also benefit greatly from obedience training—not just to learn commands, but to strengthen her bond and build confidence. Sadie is looking for a calm, patient, and understanding family who will take things slow and let her blossom on her own timeline.  Her perfect family will be one with children that has giant breed experience and be committeed to continued socialization and training.  A confident dog sibling would be wonderful, but not required.   Sadie isn’t just looking for a home—she’s looking for someone who will believe in her, guide her, and celebrate every little milestone along the way. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who will stick by your side through it all If you’re ready to help Sadie build her confidence and become the amazing dog she’s meant to be, she’s ready to meet you Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption.
