Hi, I’m Alma and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Alma Location: Carlock, IL Date of Birth: 2/13/2026 Gender: Female Breed: Daniff Color: Brindle Dog's Weight: 33 Gets along with: Dogs?: Alll dogs Cats?:  Unknown Kids?: Unknown Training: Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty (is a puppy, expect accidents( Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Alma  Alma is a 12-week-old Daniff puppy with a big personality packed into one adorable little body. She’s playful, curious, goofy, and always ready for her next adventure — especially if toys are involved! In true puppy fashion, Alma can go from sweet and sleepy to full zoomies in a matter of seconds. When meeting new people, Alma can be a little skittish at first and may feel nervous if approached too quickly, but with patience, gentle encouragement, and a few treats, she warms up and wants to be close to her people. She’s learning that the world is a safe place and is already showing how much she enjoys companionship and affection once she feels comfortable. One of Alma’s favorite things in the world is toys — and lots of them! She loves carrying them around, collecting them into little piles, and even sleeping surrounded by her treasured stash. It’s impossible not to smile watching her proudly hoard her favorites. Alma is inquisitive, eager to learn, and already potty pad trained. As a young giant breed mix puppy, she will thrive with a family committed to continued socialization, positive training, patience, and structure to help her grow into a confident adult dog. With her silly puppy energy, sweet nature, and lovable quirks, Alma is sure to make an amazing companion for the right family. Hi, I’m Dudley and I'm ready to find my forever home. Dog’s Name: Dudley Location: Wadesville, IN Date of Birth: 03/16/2023 Gender: Male Breed: Great Dane Color: Black Dog's Weight: 108 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs Cats?:  Dudley does not live with cats in his foster home, however the shelter he was rescued from said he gets a long with cats. Kids?: Unknown Training: Leash trained: Walks loose on leash Crate/Kennel:  Goes into crate/kennel on command Potty trained: Indicates a need to potty and doesn’t have indoor accidents Car:  Rides Well in car Meet Dudley Dudley is a truly sweet and gentle boy who is ready to find a patient, loving home where he can feel safe and secure. He has a soft, sensitive nature and quickly bonds with his people—especially women, whom he absolutely adores. Once he trusts you, Dudley will happily follow you around and be right by your side through all of life’s moments. Dudley loves other dogs and makes fast friends with his canine companions. He enjoys being part of the action and was happiest sitting right alongside his foster family while they planted trees—just content to be included. He’s also a wonderful travel buddy and does amazing on car rides. Because of his past, Dudley is very nervous around men and will back away or run if approached too quickly. He is not aggressive in any way—just very submissive and unsure. He will need an adopter who understands his history and is committed to slow, positive introductions to help him build trust and confidence over time. Due to his timid nature, a securely fenced yard is important so he can feel safe while outside. Dudley would thrive in a calm, understanding home that will give him the time and reassurance he needs to blossom. With patience and love, Dudley will reward his forever family with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, and a heart full of love. Story
Hi, I’m Ernie and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Ernie Location: Elmhurst, IL Date of Birth: 04/10/2021 Gender: Male Breed: Daniff Color: Fawn Dog's Weight: 90 Gets along with: Dogs?: All Dogs  Cats?: Unknown Kids?: Unknown Training: Crate Trained - goes to crate/kennel on command  Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents  Car - Rides well in the car Meet Ernie! Ernie is a happy, easygoing boy who has settled comfortably into home life and is ready to find his forever family. He is fully potty trained and has great house manners, making him a wonderful companion right from the start. Ernie absolutely loves being petted and spending time with his people—he’s the kind of dog who just wants to be near his humans and soak up all the affection he can get. Ernie is still working on his leash skills, so walks are a work in progress. He does have a bit of a prey drive—especially when it comes to squirrels—so a secure, fenced-in yard is strongly recommended to give him a safe space to run and explore. He’s also continuing to build his confidence and skills with ongoing obedience training, and he’ll benefit from a family committed to helping him keep learning. Because Ernie is still being introduced to other dogs, we’re learning more about his preferences, but thoughtful, proper introductions will be important. His ideal adopter will be patient, consistent, and ready to guide him as he continues to grow. Ernie could be a great match for someone willing to put in a little training while enjoying all the love and companionship he has to offer. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who will happily be your shadow, Ernie might be your perfect match! Hi, I’m Oakley and I’m ready to find my forever home!  Dog’s Name: Oakley Location: Tipton, IA Age: 3 Gender: Male Breed: Great Dane Color: Chocolate Merle Dog's Weight: 100 Gets along with: Dogs?: Yes Cats?:  Yes Kids?: Yes, due to size older or supervised young children recommended Training: Leash Trained - walks loose leash Crate Trained - goes to crate/kennel on command Potty Trained - indicates need to potty and doesn't have indoor accidents Car - Rides well in the car Meet Oakley  Oakley is a 3-year-old Great Dane with a gentle heart and an affectionate, loyal personality. Oakley can be shy at first, especially with men or unfamiliar situations, but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly loving and devoted to his people. He enjoys being close to his humans, relaxing around the house, sunbathing in the yard, and joining for leisurely walks. His foster describes him as a “Velcro dog” who simply wants companionship and stability. He is leash trained, crate trained, potty trained, and rides well in the car. Oakley gets along well with other dogs, has been respectful around cats, and would likely do best with older or supervised children due to his timid nature and sensitivity while building trust. Oakley is looking for a patient adopter who understands shy dogs and will give him the time, consistency, and reassurance he needs to continue blossoming. He does not require a perfect home - just a compassionate one willing to help him feel secure, supported, and loved. Until the profile is removed from the public’s view, this dog is considered available for adoption. To apply to adopt from Just Giants Rescue fill out an online.
