Hi there! I’m Moose! I was homeless for a very long time, but was adopted about a year ago. I thought this was it, that I'd found my forever home and I was so, so happy! Unfortunately, the person who said she would love me forever and ever decided to move and now I'm homeless again. I have a proposition for you, though--I promise to be your best friend forever and remain loyal and true to you if you'll make me your "for real" forever boy. I've gotten a little older (I'm nine very handsome years old now, to be precise) and I'm still a big boy. But please don’t let my size intimidate you. It just means my heart is bigger! The truth is, I am a very well-behaved boy who is just really looking forward to being part of a family. I sure hope my family sees this and wants to meet me. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and I can have my bags packed to go home with you in no time! I may be a big boy, but I travel light! But the best thing I can offer is that I come with a lifetime of unconditional love. Everyone needs that, right? I am also a very treat-motivated guy. What can I say, I love my food! Being treat-motivated will actually help me learn new things. I already know the commands, “sit,” and “down,” but I would love to learn more. Would you like to help me learn new things? No one knows for certain my past, from before I came to The Pet Connection, because I haven’t shared it all with them, and I don’t really like to dwell on it. But I will tell you that I can be a bit scared of strangers and a bit selective about my doggy friends. Let’s see, what else . . . oh yeah, I also love to play with toys—especially the ones that squeak! Squeaky toys are THE BEST! I am house-trained and crate-trained, too. Oh, AND I like to sit on the riding lawn mower. That’s normal, right? Don’t most dogs like to sit on riding lawn mowers? But it’s really ok if you don’t have a riding lawn mower; I can be flexible about that. So, are you looking for a well-behaved boy with a big heart? If so, will you please come meet me? Several dogs walked past our fence line and he seemed interested but didn't bark hardly at all. We had several people over to the house and he warmed up to them right away, resulting in even more ear scratching! Once he sniffed out all the new smells, he found the perfect spot of sunshine in the living room and took a couple naps! On the car rides to and from the shelter, he seemed content just staring out the window at all the new things, but LOVED when we opened the window and he could put his nose out and SMELL all the new things!"

Tall, dark and handsome, Alfie will sweep you off your feet! He is a playful 7-year-old; if you have a ball, he is always up for a game of fetch. Need a running or walking partner? He will happily join you. He is housetrained, gentle, calm, and gets along with people and other dogs. This loveable guy has had some confusing changes in his life, so it may take him a minute to warm up and feel safe, but, once he does, he loves to be near his human, leaning in for petting. He will need someone to be patient with him as he builds confidence and learns not to be scared of new sounds and places. Alfie does not realize his size, so a home with older children may be best. She will be large, weighing over 60 pounds when fully grown. If she doesn’t woo you with her soulful brown eyes, she will with her sweet and social personality. Sable is an active pup who can also be mellow. She loves nothing more than being around her people getting pets, or playing with her doggie friends. Miss Sable not only has the looks but also the smarts. She is nearly house-trained and sleeps quietly in her crate when left alone and at night. She is practicing her leash skills with her foster dad and is doing well. Sable has already learned a couple of commands, such as ‘touch’ and ‘come’.
