Goose is a lover above all else. He is loyal and loves to be with his people. He was raised on a small farm and made friends with all our animals and every once in a while would like to sneak eggs from the chicken coop. LOL He would be happy spending his days with the kids outside. He was happiest when my kids were little to lay in a chicken dirt bath spot and let my kids pour dirt on top of him. He is protective of his domain. Though kids and land are not a requirement, he would be best suited in a place with lots of space where he can spend ample time with his people.

Hi there! I’m Moose! I was homeless for a very long time, but was adopted about a year ago. I thought this was it, that I'd found my forever home and I was so, so happy! Unfortunately, the person who said she would love me forever and ever decided to move and now I'm homeless again. I have a proposition for you, though--I promise to be your best friend forever and remain loyal and true to you if you'll make me your "for real" forever boy. I've gotten a little older (I'm nine very handsome years old now, to be precise) and I'm still a big boy. But please don’t let my size intimidate you. It just means my heart is bigger! The truth is, I am a very well-behaved boy who is just really looking forward to being part of a family. I sure hope my family sees this and wants to meet me. I’m already neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, and I can have my bags packed to go home with you in no time! I may be a big boy, but I travel light! But the best thing I can offer is that I come with a lifetime of unconditional love. Everyone needs that, right? I am also a very treat-motivated guy. What can I say, I love my food! Being treat-motivated will actually help me learn new things. I already know the commands, “sit,” and “down,” but I would love to learn more. Would you like to help me learn new things? No one knows for certain my past, from before I came to The Pet Connection, because I haven’t shared it all with them, and I don’t really like to dwell on it. But I will tell you that I can be a bit scared of strangers and a bit selective about my doggy friends. Giovanni and his siblings were left near a field in rural Missouri. Luckily some good Samaritans spotted them and were able to get 3 of the 4 caught. We worked with volunteer dog trappers to get the last pup caught. These boys are thin and most of them have eye issues. They will be heading to our vet in gladstone for treatment. We are looking desperately for foster homes for each of these pups. They need separated from each other, they need regular feedings, and some tlc as they heal from their surgery. Medical expenses are paid for and we use Animal Clinic of the Woodlands in Gladstone...so foster/adoptive home MUST be able to pick up and drop off their pup at that vet as needed. These boys are TALL and all gangly legged. We aren't sure if they have bloodhound/lab or dane/hound/lab...but these are BIG BOYS. Please reach out to us if you can foster or are interested in adopting one. Giovanni is coming out of his shell and loves petting. He's still unsure around other dogs, but he's learning the other dogs just want to play and have fun. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters.
