Story
February is rolling around and this gorgeous beauty is looking for her forever Valentines. This gal, who is one "M" off of the sweetest holiday, is looking for a home where she can blossom and live her best life. This gorgeous Great Dane with a stunning coat is about 93 lbs now and very underweight, but working on it daily. She does great with other dogs all around and is learning about the kindness of volunteers. She is a bit shy but is making strides every day in being more confident. This gorgeous catwalk in the making model would love a warm and patient home and would prefer to avoid lots of chaos and to do, again as she falls more on the shy side. Come visit this gentle giant and fall in love like we all have!

Story
Ferdinand is a 5-month old great dane/lab mix. He is shy at first, but once he warms up, he is a goofy sweetheart and loyal friend. Ferdie likes to be near his people, whether that’s watching you cook or snoozing nearby during a Zoom meeting. He likes to play fetch in the yard and likes to play with his stuffed animals. Ferdie is dog-friendly and does well with the other dogs in his foster home. He is respectful, waggy, and very mellow with other dogs he meets. Ferdinand is kid-friendly and loves to give kisses. Due to his size, he may not be well-suited for very young children, but that’s only because he wants to play and doesn’t realize how big he is. Ferdie currently weighs 36 lbs, so he’s going to be a big boy when fully grown. Ferdie is doing great with housetraining and learning commands. He communicates when he needs to go outside and hasn’t had an accident- a perfect gentleman. He is very food-motivated and has quickly learned ‘sit’ and ‘touch’. Ferdie is still building up his confidence to go on walks. With patience and love, he will be a great walking buddy someday. Until then, the ideal home will have a fenced-in backyard so that he can run around and get his exercise in.

Story
Puppy or baby deer? TBD! Esther is all legs, ears, and snuggles. She can be a little shy at first, but she opens up quickly and wants nothing more than to be close to you. She is good with other dogs and cats and is gentle and patient with children. She is potty trained, crate trained, quiet, and sleeps through the night without accidents. She is still learning some basic commands like sit, but she is eager to please and learning quickly. She has fairly low to moderate energy—enjoying short bouts of goofy play followed by long naps. She would do great in a home with a confident dog to play with and show her the ropes. Her favorite things include long cuddles on the couch, stretching those long legs with some zoomies in the yard, collecting toys, and just generally being wherever you are.

Story
We purchased Wick from a breeder. He's full blooded Great Dane. He's currently 18 months old and about 145 lbs. He's a great dog and gets along with our lab and cat. He's shown no aggression towards anyone in our family. We have two grandkids that are two and three yrs old and adopting our one year old soon. He is very strong and can be hard to handle. He has been kenneled and gets along with all the other dogs and the staff always love him. He is still very playful and clumsy. He has a good blood line and would make a great breeder. Or you could have him neutered and he would settle down and make a great pet He loves being around you and laying in front of the fireplace. He's shows you a lot of love. The only reason we are trying to find a home for him is we have adopted our three grandchildren and when he gets playful with them he's to big and knocks them down accidentally. He has never shown any aggression toward any one. He is protective of our property which is good.

Story
Banks, the rescue formerly known as Bane, is an 80 pound baby. Sometimes (ok- always) he doesn’t realize his own size & strength. We suggest an alpha personality owner for this boy to help him understand the “dos and don’ts” in the dog & human world. He would do best as an only pet with someone who wants a dog that adores them (he falls in love easily). Apply to adopt Banks at apsofpc.org under the Adopt tab. His fee is only $50!January 6, 2025, 8:09 am
