This lovable lug is equal parts goofball and gentleman.Duke came to us as a foundling, and although a kind foster family stepped up to help him, they were sadly unable to keep him long term. But here’s the impressive part: when you ask him to sit and “be still,” he does exactly that. Duke listens beautifully and is eager to please. Meet Fenway, Fenny was born on 2/12/25 and is a Great Dane/Pointer mix who was surrendered to our rescue. Fenway is great with other dogs and loves people so much that he wants to stand up on his back legs and give the best bear hugs! He is learning how to walk on a leash and does very well with basic commands like "sit" "stay" and "lay down". He is a professional at fetch and loves to play with his ball. Fenway is now neutered, fully vetted and up to date on all required vaccinations. Rogue is a 6-year-old Great Dane with a heart as big as he is. He’s a goofy, affectionate gentle giant who thinks he’s a lap dog. He thrives on companionship, physical affection, and spending time outdoors.Rogue does great with other dogs and would love a home with a canine companion, but that is not necessary. He’s house trained, knows basic commands, and was crate trained earlier in life. He’s not very interested in toys—he’d rather be with his people or another dog.He’s had positive interactions with children, but due to his size and energy level, we believe a home without young children would be best.We’re making the difficult decision to rehome him due to our growing family and a now-mobile baby. Sweet Winnie is a year and a half and weighs in at 75 lbs. She does have some Great Dane in her bloodline. She is very loving and affectionate, loves to bring her toys to you. We will evaluate each application on an individual basis to see what is best for the dog/puppy and the potential adopter. Puppies are very fragile and not toys. We recommend children be at least six years old to be considered to adopt a puppy. Small breed dogs ( such as chihuahuas, yorkies, shih tzus , etc) we recommend children be at least eight years old. Herding, working breeds we recommend children to be at least 12 years old. Again these are recommendations. Adoption Procedures: We will travel up to two hours ( one way) to do physical home visits and we do not do virtual home visits. Most of our dogs come from bad situations and we want to know where their forever home is going to be. While we do not require fencing on all dogs, certain dogs that need a fenced in yard, will not be adopted unless potential adopter has one. We also adopt some dogs to people who live in apartments ( as long as the landlord approves) but not all dogs. We do not adopt to anyone under 21 years of age. We also do not feel college students are the best fit for most of our dogs. Most of our dogs again, come from bad situations and need lots of attention. Most college students have financial responsibilities and we feel need to be focused on school. Our goal is to match the dog with a family that fits the dog’s needs. We are solely focused on what is best for each dog in our rescue. These dogs have had enough moving around, dumped out like trash, and we want to ensure they find their forever home. We do require you sign a contract and if at any time you cannot continue to provide for the dog, the dog comes back to the rescue. Your first step to adoption is filling our our on line application. You will then get an automated email stating we got your application Next our adoption coordinator will be in touch either by phone or email If your references check out, a home visit will be scheduled. After the home visit is done, a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in and/or any other available dogs we have will be scheduled If the dog and you are a match, contract will be signed and you may take your new family member home. Meet sweet boy Kipper. Kipper was born August 30, 2023. He, his littermates and his mom ended up at the local county shelter. We pulled him and the rest of his family. Mom is a Great Dane mix, dad or dads were traveling salesmen and did not leave their card for us to find out who they were. Best guess is Dane/Lab mix. Kipper has a unique breathing pattern. Once he is tired, he breathes very heavily. We have taken him to specialists, and they said it is nothing to be alarmed about, just genetic. Kipper is great with other dogs and cats. He also loves, loves, loves his people. He like to snuggle and lean into you to get as close as possible to you. Could Kipper be the match for your new family member?

He came to us heartbreakingly thin and suffering from an abdominal obstruction. Somehow, through it all, he never lost his gentle heart. Now healthy, happy, and ready for a fresh start, this big puppy loves other dogs, is house-trained, and firmly believes he's the perfect lap dog. He'll chase a cat that runs but quickly loses interest, and he's wonderful with kids, but keep in mind that 120 pounds of puppy enthusiasm can accidentally knock over the little ones.
