Thor is a one-year-old Great Dane and Lab mix weighing 71 pounds, and his story already reads like the opening scene of a movie. Found running loose through a Tennessee neighborhood, this big, beautiful boy was moments away from tragedy when fate—and a young dog lover—stepped in. Twice Thor ran in front of her car, and instead of driving on, she stopped, opened her door, and called to him. Without hesitation, Thor leapt into the back seat as if he knew his life was about to change. And it did. With no collar and no microchip, Thor became part of Critter Cavalry Rescue and stayed with the very woman who saved him. From the moment he was safe, his true nature began to shine. Thor is strikingly handsome, with chiseled features and expressive ears that nearly stand straight up, giving him a regal, alert look—like a show dog who wandered off the Westminster runway and into a superhero origin story. But don’t let the model looks fool you. Thor is pure joy wrapped in a giant puppy body. He tosses toys into the air, pounces on squeaky treasures, and delights in balls and stuffed animals with the enthusiasm of a dog who is still discovering how fun life can be. He doesn’t quite realize how big or strong he is yet, but his heart is gentle and his spirit is eager. Thor is intelligent, focused, and deeply people-oriented. When you work with him, he locks onto you completely, especially if treats are involved, which makes training both effective and fun. He is wonderful with other dogs, showing no dominance or alpha behavior, just friendly curiosity and easygoing charm. Recently neutered, Thor is still growing and will likely fill out into a solid 90-pound adult over the next year. He is housebroken and currently learning that being alone doesn’t mean being abandoned, as crates aren’t quite his favorite place. Thor simply loves people and wants to be near them, soaking in companionship and reassurance. His liver-and-black coat shifts with the sunlight, turning heads wherever he goes, and making him unforgettable long after he’s passed by. Thor is the kind of dog who comes into your life once and leaves a permanent mark on your heart. He is waiting for someone to guide him, shape him, and grow with him into the extraordinary companion he is clearly meant to be. Meet Fenway, Fenny was born on 2/12/25 and is a Great Dane/Pointer mix who was surrendered to our rescue. Fenway is great with other dogs and loves people so much that he wants to stand up on his back legs and give the best bear hugs! He is learning how to walk on a leash and does very well with basic commands like "sit" "stay" and "lay down". He is a professional at fetch and loves to play with his ball. Fenway is now neutered, fully vetted and up to date on all required vaccinations. Luke is 10-11 months old, 90 lbs this boy was found as stray. he is the gentlest dog I've met in YEARS. he takes treats daintily, he walks well on a leash, he adores all people and all dogs. This is a very special boy. He was taken in by a good sam with a HUGE outdoor kennel. and a HUGE doghouse. the stars were aligned for this boy. he was recently fully vetted and is still n the outside kennel. this boy needs a terrific home. someone will be VERY lucky to get him. he is truly an AMAZING boy.

Meet Brinkley! At just 5 months old, Brinkley is a beautiful Great Dane/Cane Corso mix weighing 42 pounds, with an estimated adult weight of 80–90 pounds. This sweet girl came to rescue at only 5 weeks old alongside her brother after being surrendered. While her brother has already found his forever home, Brinkley is patiently waiting for her special family. Brinkley is a gentle, chill puppy who absolutely lives for snuggles. If you’re looking for a big baby who loves to cuddle, she’s your girl! She also enjoys squeaky toys and chasing balls, but her favorite place is right next to (or leaning on!) her person. In the mornings, she loves to jump up for back snuggles and soak up all the affection she can get! Because she’s still gaining confidence, Brinkley can be shy and nervous with strangers and takes a little time to warm up. Once she trusts you, though, she bonds deeply and loves wholeheartedly. Patience and kindness will be key to helping her blossom into the confident companion she’s meant to be. Brinkley does wonderfully with other dogs but hasn’t been around cats yet. She has been around several adults and does great, though she may need slow introductions to new people. She has no aggression issues, she is mostly house trained, and she is fully crate trained. She will need more support at getting comfortable walking on a leash, so her future family should be prepared to continue positive, gentle leash training. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will truly bond with you, and you’re ready to help a sweet, sensitive girl grow into her very best self, Brinkley is your girl!
