Story
Aren’t I a handsome young man? I was found during the cold snap and a nice lady brought me inside to warm up. I may be a youngster but I am very smart. I already know the command for sit and will stop at a curb or doorway and not move until I receive the command to go. I also know “off” so I won’t jump on you. I would love a family who loves to play and goes on long walks as I have lots of energy.

Story
Kim is one of the puppies from the litter found with their mom just after the last big freeze. She started out timid and un socialized and has blossomed into the friendliest, most curious, and playful puppy. She gets along beautifully with the adult dogs in her foster home, and plays hard with her siblings at “reunions” at the adoption center. She has been around cats in her foster home, and is very interested in them but hasn’t chased them yet. Kim is incredibly smart and eager with training- she is 100% house trained with a dog door, and if you don’t have one, an eye on her will mean no accidents. She is crate trained, and associates her crate with breakfast (her favorite!) and relaxing when no one wants to play- she even goes in on her own. She already knows simple commands: sit, come, down, and give. She’s a good car rider too, just lays down, but needs a boost to climb in. Kim has a lot of nicknames: Cleo (as in Cleopatra, for her fancy “eyeliner”), Wizard Puppy or Puppy who Lived (see the mystery scar on her forehead?), and Scooby Doo. Her personality will delight you, she’s equal parts love bug and rascal, and will be happy to spend every minute with you if you let her. The person or family who adopts her will be lucky to have such a sweet, happy-go-lucky, smart dog! Kim is a female Shepherd/Great Dane mix with an estimated date of birth of 12/27/25. As of 4/25, she weighs 36.4 lbs.

Story
Bricia is a one of a kind girl with a look and personality that’s impossible to forget! With her little underbite that lets her teeth peek out from time to time and her funny looking tail, she has a quirky charm that makes people smile the moment they meet her. She’s very easy to leash up and walks nicely by your side without pulling, making her a pleasant companion for strolls. Bricia already knows how to sit and will happily show off her good manners - sometimes for a treat, though she’s a bit picky and doesn’t always take them. When she does, she’s very gentle! In the play yard, Bricia is independent but friendly. She enjoys exploring on her own, but she’s always happy to come over for some pets. Squeaky toys definitely get her attention - she’ll perk up at the sound and may even chase after one if you toss it. That usually turns into a burst of zoomies instead of actual toy play, but it’s still entertaining to watch! Bricia has a low to medium energy level and a calm, easygoing vibe. Bricia is a truly special pup who’s ready to bring some charm and companionship into a lucky adopter’s home.

Story
Balderdash is the kind of dog you don’t fully appreciate until you spend a little time by his side. Once you do, it’s hard not to fall for him! He’s an incredibly easygoing, gentle soul who makes everything feel calm and simple. He’s a dream to handle on leash - no pulling, no fuss, just quietly following your lead and enjoying the moment with you. He has a low energy level and a laid back vibe. He seems to prefer observing the world rather than being the center of it. Balderdash isn’t interested in toys and treats don’t impress him much either. What he does love is affection! He doesn’t require a ton of attention, but when you pet him he loves nothing more than to lay down and soak it up for as long as possible. His sweetness always shines through. He’s friendly, independent in a peaceful way, and has a naturally calm presence that makes him an easy companion to have around. While he doesn’t know any tricks just yet, he takes treats gently and seems eager to connect in his own quiet way. He`s also done well around other dogs in shelter playgroups. Balderdash may not be the dog who jumps up to grab attention or steals the spotlight on camera (for some reason he always seems comes across as awkward on camera!) - but he’s the one who would love to be there beside you at the end of the day: steady, kind, and content. If you’re looking for a calm, chill, and genuinely good-hearted dog, Balderdash is waiting to be your perfect match!
