Mama Crystal was rescued right before she gave birth, and her puppies were born into a loving home on June 20. Their outgoing, loving personalities reflect a charmed life thus far. They are nine weeks old as of August 22. Breed results for Jade’s sister Sapphire show that these pups are likely a mix of 16 different breeds. The three top breeds are Great Pyrenees (28%), Husky (18%) and Mountain Cur (10%). (See the photos for the complete results.) Jade weighed 9 pounds at eight weeks old, which puts her on track to be about 50-60 lbs. when full grown. Jade is just a pleasure to be around. She’s a little spunky, but very charming. When you’re holding her, you can feel her tail rapidly wagging. She always seems so happy. Meet Crystal, a young mama dog who is wise beyond her one year of life. Crystal is quiet, calm and very respectful of everything around her, including the cats in her foster home. Crystal is a Great Pyrenees, Husky, Mountain Cur, Chihuahua mix who weighs just 47 lbs at a little over a year old. Crystal recently raised her seven puppies and was the sweetest mama dog. Her days of having accidental litters are now over and she’s looking for a quiet home where she can relax and enjoy the good life. Crystal is very calm and can present as a little shy, but she will warm up quickly. She has done great meeting new people, including kids. She is super calm on a leash and very easy to walk. She follows your lead. She’s also incredibly good with cats and other dogs. She can be playful but she is not high energy. She’s crate trained and potty trained. Crystal would love a fenced-in yard in her future forever home. She loves to be outside and does have a little bit of that Great Pyrenees wandering spirit. We think she would be a great walking partner as well, and she’s truly incredible on a leash.
