Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
My name is Arlo. I am definitely part Great Pyrenees, and I think I am part Lab. I'm proud of both. I'm sweet, gentile, smart and loyal. I like to cuddle. I have a really interesting and beautiful coat. I'm going to be a big dog. I love adults and children. If you want to play count me in to play with you. If you want to just hand out, I'll hang out with you. Where ever you take me people are goiung to look at me. I'm going to be a cool dog. I would love to be your loving and faithful companion.I have brothers and sisters. Perhaps you would like to take one of them too. I like playing with them.

Story
Florence is the sweetest girl. She is not a typical Great Pyrenees. She does not require land, does not roam, does not bark incessantly. She is welcoming to strangers and loves to be inside. She does need a fenced yard to run around but not huge. She loves people and other dogs. Florence does have a dominant dog personality, so it may be best for her to be an only dog. We have another dominant Great Pyrenees female, and have since learned that is a bad combination as two dominant female Great Pyrenees dogs are known to be impossible companions. If you have another female Great Pyrenees she would not be a good fit. It may be the same issue if you have any breed female dog, I don’t know. She gets upset if the other dog is threatening her food or attention from her people. However, she would never be aggressive toward a human. Her temperament is more like an older golden retriever. Very sweet and happy, playful for short amounts of time, and sleeps a lot.

Story
Ripley is a 2 yr old sweet girl who's lived her whole life on a 4ft chain on a property with about 10 other dogs. We took her in hoping we could give her a better chance than the lot she was dealt. Ripley really needs a home with either a fenced yard or enough land she can get her runs out. Being chained for so long, she yearns for a bit of freedom though she loves being able come back inside for a cool down. She's very smart, docile and gets along great with other dogs and kids. She loves to be pet and kissed on. She doesn't have the hang of playing yet but she has so much love to give. Loud noises and large objects in the dark tend to spook her a little but she is very brave otherwise. Her breed is known for their loyalty so she would make the best pet! Ripley never quite got to be a puppy but she so deserves the chance!
