Story
My name is Arlo. I am definitely part Great Pyrenees, and I think I am part Lab. I'm proud of both. I'm sweet, gentile, smart and loyal. I like to cuddle. I have a really interesting and beautiful coat. I'm going to be a big dog. I love adults and children. If you want to play count me in to play with you. If you want to just hand out, I'll hang out with you. Where ever you take me people are goiung to look at me. I'm going to be a cool dog. I would love to be your loving and faithful companion.I have brothers and sisters. Perhaps you would like to take one of them too. I like playing with them.

Story
Yuki is a 2 year old 86 pound Great Pyrenees! He is being fostered in Huntsville,AL and is available for transport and the approved adopter will be responsible for the transport fee. Yuki was primarily raised as an indoor pup without other pup playmates, so exhibits some stress when alone. He has loved being at his foster’s with a big yard and other dogs to play with. He does well with dogs of all sizes and has quickly realized and become sensitive to the fact that he is too large for some of his 20 lb playmates, which is really good. He has become pretty gentle in his few weeks at his fosters, primarily because he gets a lot of outdoor play time. He does need a pup playmate close to his size that provides him a since of security. He has been diagnosed with a seizure issue and takes daily medication, levetirace, for it. His foster is still learning about him, but so far, he is just a great happy boy. If you are interested in adopting Yuki please fill out an application on our website forrescue.net. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Meet Lambert! Found as a stray, skinny and matted, Lambert is a sweet, handsome boy who is ready to meet his new forever family. Lambert is a big teddy bear who loves to be scratched and snuggled. He is 65lbs of pure love, and still has some filling out to do. He adores everyone he has ever met: adults, kids, dogs, chickens, and cats alike! Lambert is mostly house trained, but still forgets occasionally, especially when the weather is wet and he’d rather not go outside. He is well mannered with a calm personality, never jumps, rarely barks, sleeps all night (but is an early riser), and tolerates a crate when left alone. He loves to nap wherever his people are, and he is ready to be your new best friend! Lambert is probably a Great Pyrenees so he is LARGE! He is fully vetted: neutered, up-to-date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He is being fostered in the Huntsville, Alabama area.

Story
Meet Riley, a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Australian shepherd mix looking for a soft spot to land — perhaps a home with a nice comfy couch where she can get all the human cuddles her heart desires.  Riley is 80 lbs of total love bug! She loves everyone she meets, including children and other dogs. The word stranger just isn’t in her vocabulary.  Riley is crate trained and potty trained, and she is ok if her family has full-time jobs and can’t be with her all day long. She’s doesn’t expect much.  What we would love for Riley is a somewhat active home with a fenced-in yard. Riley would love to go on the occasional hike or neighborhood walk. While Riley is basically a turn-key dog, she could use some simple basic-manners training. She gets very excited to see new people and doesn’t realize her size, but she quickly becomes a gentle giant after the initial excitement.  She also needs an owner willing to spend some time or money on grooming. She has a beautiful fluffy coat that could get matted with no maintenance.  Riley is an easygoing adult dog who is more than ready to be a good girl and best friend for her forever family. Story
Meet Sky, the sweetest Great Pyrenees mix who truly embodies what it means to be a rescue dog.  Sky was a stray for the first few years of her life. She survived off very little; the roof over her head was literally the sky. She had multiple litters in the woods, and most of the puppies didn’t survive.  Her world completely changed when a foster learned about her situation and took in her and her single surviving puppy. Sky is approximately 3 years old now and looking for a forever home that will give her all the love she missed out on for the first part of her life.  Sky is a gem! She is truly amazing around all other dogs, and we’d prefer for her to have another dog in her forever home. She also loves children and cats. She can be a little shy around new people but will warm up quickly. She’s just a very calm, gentle dog.   Sky enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. She is completely neutral to everything out in the world. She does have some impressive fence jumping skills, so a yard with a privacy fence would be preferable. But Sky isn’t a flight risk, so she won’t go far if she were to hop a fence.  Sky is truly a wonderful dog who would be forever grateful to the family that gives her a forever home.  If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
