Shyloh is a sweet, social, and happy pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves people, playtime, and making new friends. While his exact breed is a mystery, one thing’s for sure — he’s going to be a large, lovable companion! Shyloh will thrive in a home with a sturdy fence or supervised yard time, as he’s quite the little climber. Story
Meet Doug! Doug is a handsome 1-year-old Great Pyrenees/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. Although his previous home’s DNA test labeled him as 100% Great Pyrenees, we know his mother wasn’t a Pyr—so he’s truly a unique mix! Doug has had obedience training, but he’s still quite skittish and needs a patient, calm adopter who can help him continue building confidence. Because of his timid nature, he is not suited for homes with children under 10. He does well with other dogs and cats and would thrive in a quiet household where he can feel safe and settle in at his own pace. Doug has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and heartworm tested negative. His adoption fee is $250. If you have a peaceful home, a gentle approach, and a heart ready to help a shy boy blossom, Doug may be the perfect match for you.November 22, 2025, 6:59 pm

Story
Sierra is a lovely Great Pyrenees mix with an equally lovely personality. She came to us with one puppy and proved herself to be a fine mama dog. She's 4 years old and came into our rescue thin at about 50 to 60 pounds; however, she'll mature to 70 pounds or more. Sierra loves other dogs and is very calm. Typically, she likes to lounge around and watch the world go by. A sweet girl who loves affection, she's great to have around. (posted 11/15/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **November 24, 2025, 2:32 pm

What a fine boy Thomas is! A Great Pyrenees mix, he presently weighs 60 to 70 pounds but will mature to around 80 to 90. (He came to us very skinny. Poor Dear!) Three years old, Thomas is described as very sweet, attentive, calm yet playful. Clearly he's a great boy who would be a fine addition to your family! Story
Meet Riley, a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Australian shepherd mix looking for a soft spot to land — perhaps a home with a nice comfy couch where she can get all the human cuddles her heart desires.  Riley is 80 lbs of total love bug! She loves everyone she meets, including children and other dogs. The word stranger just isn’t in her vocabulary.  Riley is crate trained and potty trained, and she is ok if her family has full-time jobs and can’t be with her all day long. She’s doesn’t expect much.  What we would love for Riley is a somewhat active home with a fenced-in yard. Riley would love to go on the occasional hike or neighborhood walk. While Riley is basically a turn-key dog, she could use some simple basic-manners training. She gets very excited to see new people and doesn’t realize her size, but she quickly becomes a gentle giant after the initial excitement.  She also needs an owner willing to spend some time or money on grooming. She has a beautiful fluffy coat that could get matted with no maintenance.  Riley is an easygoing adult dog who is more than ready to be a good girl and best friend for her forever family. Story
Meet Sky, the sweetest Great Pyrenees mix who truly embodies what it means to be a rescue dog.  Sky was a stray for the first few years of her life. She survived off very little; the roof over her head was literally the sky. She had multiple litters in the woods, and most of the puppies didn’t survive.  Her world completely changed when a foster learned about her situation and took in her and her single surviving puppy. Sky is approximately 3 years old now and looking for a forever home that will give her all the love she missed out on for the first part of her life.  Sky is a gem! She is truly amazing around all other dogs, and we’d prefer for her to have another dog in her forever home. She also loves children and cats. She can be a little shy around new people but will warm up quickly. She’s just a very calm, gentle dog.   Sky enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. She is completely neutral to everything out in the world. She does have some impressive fence jumping skills, so a yard with a privacy fence would be preferable. But Sky isn’t a flight risk, so she won’t go far if she were to hop a fence.  Sky is truly a wonderful dog who would be forever grateful to the family that gives her a forever home.  If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel.
