Story
Meet Lucy, a pup whose night-and-day transformation might bring tears to your eyes.  A few months ago when Lucy was found alone at an RV park, you wouldn’t have even recognized her. She was covered in mange, underweight and very uncomfortable. Thankfully a kind person kept her safe, sought medical help and never gave up on her. A foster home took Lucy in a month later. As her fluffy coat has continued to fill in, Lucy has also been doing internal work: learning to walk on a leash, learning to come into the house, learning to enjoy being petted. Lucy has made great strides and is now an absolute joy in a pint-sized package. She’s approximately 26 pounds at 7 months old and seems to be growing at a very slow pace. Her breed test showed that she’s a mix of large and small breeds. Great Pyrenees and Husky were the top two breeds, but she also had some small amounts of Chihuahua, rat terrier and miniature schnauzer. The breed test predicted her full grown weight could be as low as 33 pounds.  Lucy absolutely adores other dogs and would love a doggy companion in her forever home. She looks so happy when she’s outside playing a game of chase with her foster puppy friend Linus. But Lucy isn’t an overly energetic puppy, so even the old grumpy dogs don’t mind having her around.  Lucy will need a patient owner who will give her time to feel comfortable. New situations and new people still make Lucy nervous, but she has become very comfortable in her foster home where she takes naps on her back in hopes she might get a belly rub. Lucy now seeks out attention, but she would never jump on you trying to get it. She’s very polite and well behaved in the house.  Lucy is fully potty trained and loves being in her crate. It was her safe spot while she worked up the courage to fully incorporate into her foster family.  Lucy has had quite the journey, and we want to find a forever home that’s perfect for her. Please apply if you can give Lucy the heartwarming ending she deserves. Story
Aphrodite, a 3-year-old Lab mix came into rescue after being hit by a car. She was emaciated, injured, and had 9 puppies she was tending to as any great Mama would. Although terrified of people at first, with daily care and patience, she has transformed into a healthy, 60-pound girl who is a very curious, playful, and loving dog. Although still having some hip trouble from being hit, she continues to improve daily. Aphrodite needs a family who will shower her with the love and patience and time she deserves. Don’t you think? Story
How gorgeous she is! Mango is her name, and she’s a 70 pound, 4-year-old mix of Great Pyr and St. Bernard. A truly lovely girl, her temperament is excellent as is obvious when you watch her with one of our other dogs, Quinn, her daughter. Mango is loving, quiet, shy at first and very calm. You might say she’s a slow mover, too. And she loves bones and cuddling! We think Mango is absolutely wonderful! Story
This handsome fella is Dukey; he’s a 1 ½ year old mix of Great Pyr and Anatolian Shepherd. He was missing from his original home for some time and returned extremely thin and missing hair. His owners surrendered him to us and he’s now 50 pounds on his way to about 60, and his coat is filling in nicely! A good boy, he is sweet, friendly, gives shakes, and is very loving and gentle. He is not fond of other dogs, however, so, although we’re working on this, at this point he should be the only dog in the home. He is a fine boy who needs a home with a devoted family! Story
Damon and his brother, Stefan, are 6-month-old Great Pyr/Lab mixes. They presently weigh about 40 pounds and will mature to at least 70. These boys are super playful, curious, and outgoing. And they love sitting on your lap! Yes, these brothers are terrific fellas, so terrific that you’ll love to have them as part of your family. They’re so great that we’ll never understand why someone dropped them off at rescue overnight. But we’re glad they did! Astrid and Celestria are 3-month-old Great Pyr and Retriever mixes. They presently weigh between 7 and 9 puppy pounds and will mature to around 60 pounds. Both sisters are very sweet and loving, and they’re also quite friendly. They have no problem sharing their food, and they love to play with their kennel mates. Good little girls!
