Story
06/05/24 15:08 Dog is a little skittish, does not really walk on leash, may have to carry dog around.07/17/24 14:09 Took her out to the play yard for updated pictures. She was very fearful when I first tried to take her out. Once I got the leash on her, she hid in the corner of the kennel and relieved herself. Couldn`t get her to come out of the corner without forcing the issue and I didn`t want to do that. I called for assistance form a staff member who has been working with her. She finally came out of the corner and slowly, with persuasion, made it all the out to the yard. She requested and was given a lot of love, pets and scratches before she started coming out of her shell. She actually even started with little zoomies here and there but for the most part, stayed close to the staff member she knew the best. She`s very sweet, loves attention but you do need to go slow to win her over.07/18/24 17:47 Dog is doing much better now. She will greet you at the kennel door for attention.07/24/24 09:23 Due to shelter over crowding, kenneled with another pet of similar size. No aggression seen from either, both are doing well.

Story
Tengu is a sweet, goofy XL puppy. He is in foster with other dogs and has an “alpha” personality. He prefers to be where his humans are - chilling out watching tv, helping you cook, following you to the bathroom, playing fetch in the backyard - and would love a home with hiking, camping, and family adventures. He loves following you around like a shadow. He is in foster with other dogs and is doing wonderful in puppy school with his foster family.

Story
Apollo is 8 years old, born May 4th, 2016. We have had him since he was 16 weeks old however, after my oldest moved out (he was her dog), I do not have the time to keep up with him. He is very sweet but typical Pyrenees so he is stubborn at times and barks. He is about 170 lbs and needs a home where he will get more attention and room to run. He is mostly indoors but loves to be outside when it is cooler outside. He has been raised in a home with children and does well around them, doesn't jump or bite. He is scared of groomers after having a bad experience with one but with some work he may be okay in time. Knows basic commands (sit, down, shake) and is usually food motivated. He is crate trained as well and crate can go with him if needed. He doesn't do well with other dogs but is fine with cats. I am looking for a home that will give him lots of love and attention and somewhere that has experience with this large of a dog as well as enough room to run.

Story
Meet Megan, the seasoned snuggle champ with a heart of gold! She's perfected the art of couch potato-ing, snuggling up for hours on end with her favorite humans. With her gentle demeanor and love for lounging, Megan's earned the title of the ultimate "kid babysitter" in the neighborhood - she's practically a furry nanny! When she's not cozying up, you'll find her spreading joy and drool among family and friends, especially the little ones who can't resist her irresistible charm. Megan may be a senior dog, but her cuddle game is forever young! Megan is currently in foster care, so she is not physically on our facility. If you are interested in setting up a time to meet Megan, please reach out to our foster care coordinator through email, fostercare@petsadoption.org!

Story
Artemis was adopted as a puppy from our local shelter, us believing she was a lab. We were very surprised when she just never stopped growing! She adores people, loves hugs, and loves to flop over for belly rubs at every available opportunity. She'll play for as long as you can stand for it, and will make sure any would be intruders think three times before trying anything. Artemis doesn't get along with unfixed female dogs, but does enjoy playing with male dogs that aren't too pushy. She leaves cats alone but does enjoy watching them wander around and doing things. We hate to have to let her go, but our other dogs are just too pushy for her and she gets stressed and snippy with them. She would thrive in a single family home, but would do well with a male pup that understands boundaries. She'd love to take up your whole bed and be your favorite pillow.
