Claremont CA - Looking for a new home for Scout - Scout is a male Great Pyrenees (unsure if mixed) just under two years old. We adopted him from a shelter just over a year ago when he was approximately 7 months old. He was neutered at about 18 months old. He is up to date on all vaccinations and has no known medical issues. We have a young child and busy schedules so we’re looking for the right home for Scout. He has been good around other dogs and loves his walks and attention as he is very affectionate and enjoys giving hugs to adults. Her DNA test came back with 50% Great Pyrenees and 30% heeler/cattle dog with lots of other breeds mixed in to make up the remaining. Kamari is looking for an active family or individual who enjoys a dog who is active and ready to be up and at your side when you go about your chores around the house, who wants to go-go-go (a nice hike, rigorous neighborhood walk, or playing fetch at the park or in the yard) and then cuddle up for some relaxation back at home. Kamari is curious and friendly. She LOVES meeting new people and wishes everyone would play with her or give her attention. She is highly trainable (treat motivated but also really responsive to verbal praise and gesture/attention as praise. She knows sit and down. She is gentle with children. He prefers to be where his humans are - chilling out watching tv, helping you cook, following you to the bathroom, playing fetch in the backyard - and would love a home with hiking, camping, and family adventures. He loves following you around like a shadow, but can also be overprotective of his humans, typical of guardian breeds. He can be reactive on leash around strangers, so an experienced handler ready to train is a must.
