Story
Max is a great pyrenees, golden, sharpei mix! He is a calm, smart, sweet, goofy boy I’ve been fostering. I took him in after my friend unexpectedly got evicted. When I first took him, he was fearful of certain people. With patience and time, he broke out of his shell and he’s the happiest dog I’ve ever met. He even walks without a leash once he’s comfortable with you. He’s calm, playful, house-trained, and isn’t destructive. He is slowly breaking out of his shell with everyone else but I still want to rehome him to someone who will first put in the effort to get to know him so he has time to get comfortable. Once I feel like he’s comfortable and no longer afraid, I will rehome him to whoever takes the time to do so. I promise the time and effort is worth it, he’s the smartest and sweetest puppy. I would even keep him myself if I had enough space in my apartment for another dog. He’s an amazing dog! (note: all shots up to date except for rabies)

We adopted Marshie from our neighbors, and she is two years old now, born January 12, 2021. She has been spayed, her shots are up to date, and she is house-trained, but not crate trained. She is very affectionate, she'll sleep/cuddle with you and give you a million kisses when she gets excited to see you. She needs an experienced owner who will understand the characteristics of her breed: she barks mainly during the night, to protect against potential predators. She can be protective, as she resource guards her toys, but she does not guard her food and is okay with being around others while eating. Our main concern is that she, sadly, bit someone in the past. Our house was under construction which was stressful for Marshie who wasn't used to the commotion & strangers being in her home. Following her instincts, she bit one of the workers, which didn't need stitches. She is only protective in her territory. Marshie needs a loving, understanding, & structured home where she can thrive.
