Story
06/30/26 11:23After sometime in the shelter, Valko has loosened up. When she was brought out to the yard she was still unsure, but was coming up to everyone that was there. She became loose in the yard and we were able to vaccinate. She becomes shyer around new people so slow introductions are best.06/29/26 10:46Dog is extremely nervous in the shelter and gave a low growl when a staff member was near. Staff have been unable to vaccinate due to behavior. Needs rescue

Story
Hi, I'm Bruce! I love quiet days and gentle cuddles. Though I might be a bit shy at first, once I warm up, I'm the sweetest friend you could ask for. I enjoy my independence, often lounging in a cozy spot with my thoughts. But don't worry, I'm always ready for a friendly pat or a calm walk. I cherish peaceful moments with kind humans. If you're looking for a gentle, mellow companion to share serene days with, I'm your guy. Let's make each day special together. Good news, I qualify for Foster to Adopt! Please speak to a SPCA staff member for more information. I am eligible for a Doggy Day Out, apply at www.spcamc.org/day-out to take me on an outing! Story
Rio, is it good loving dog. We got him for my grandson when he was just six weeks old. He is now 5 years old. Such a good loving dog. It's very hard to give him up. But at this time, I'm unable to care for him, like I did. I'd had 2 neck surgeries. and have to have back surgery. I just really want a good home for him. Someone that's gonna love him like I love him or even more. Granny

Story
Rio is a wonderful, loving dog who deserves a caring forever home. My grandson got Rio when he was just six weeks old. When my grandson moved from Arizona and was no longer able to care for him, Rio came to live with me. I have now had him for the past three years. Rio is a beautiful, affectionate, and loyal dog. He enjoys being around people and has been a cherished part of our family. Unfortunately, due to my current circumstances, I am no longer able to provide the care and attention he deserves. I am raising my two grandchildren while recovering from two neck surgeries, and it has become increasingly difficult to meet his needs. This decision comes from a place of love. My hope is to find a safe, stable, and loving home where Rio will continue to receive the care, affection, and companionship he deserves. He has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion for the right person or family. If you are interested in giving Rio a loving home, please contact me. Thank you,
