Story
Cheeeeeese! 😁 Most of Mudbud’s pictures feature his signature charming grin. If you need a good example of Mudbud’s personality, one of the names we considered for him was “Mashed Potatoes.” This lovable goober is 79 pounds of pure handsome puppy dog! Mudbud is 11 months old and is a mix of Great Pyrenees from dad and some sort of Bully/Terrier mix from mom. He was surrendered alongside his two brothers and sister after an unexpected litter, so we know exactly where all this adorable came from. Mudbud has previously lived with his siblings and other dogs. He can be excitable through fencing when he sees other pups, some more playful, some more annoyed with. We are still getting to know him as he settles in here at The Humane Society of Oldham County, but cat testing can be done upon request, and we hope to learn more about how he does with kiddos soon. This big stinker would LOVE to be your best bud. 🐾 Submit an application today to be approved to meet Mudbud!

Story
Rosebud is the most darling (not-so) little lady you will ever meet! With her half-and-half facial markings, you get DOUBLE the beauty. If you look super close, her white eye even has a tiny black marking that looks like a little false eyelash was glued on. It does not get any cuter than this! Rosebud is 11 months old, weighs 75 pounds, and was surrendered alongside her brothers after an unexpected litter. (Friendly reminder to always spay and neuter your furbabies!) We know mama had some terrier or bully breed in her, while dad was part Great Pyrenees. We can confirm this pup is 100% purebred ADORABLE. While Rosebud can be a little shy indoors without her brother B-Dawg nearby, it is only because so much of this world is still brand new to her after living outside. Despite being timid at times, she is always incredibly sweet, friendly, and eager for affection. Once she gets outside, her playful and outgoing personality shows right away! We are still learning how Rosebud does with little humans and other critters as she settles in here at The Humane Society of Oldham County. She has previously lived with other dogs and has been excitable but non-aggressive through a fence. We are currently unsure how she does with cats, but cat testing can be done upon request. Rosebud is ready to make your life bloom. 🌸 Submit your application today to come meet this darling girl!

Story
Meet Claire — your loyal shadow and built-in best friend 💛 Claire is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a gentle, devoted spirit. She’s the definition of a “love bug” and truly happiest when she’s close to her person—whether that means relaxing quietly by your side or joining you on your next outdoor adventure. This sweet girl is incredibly well-mannered. She’s house trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Claire is also food motivated (which makes training a breeze!) and does great at the groomer—she’s the total package. Claire has a wonderfully balanced personality. She’s just as content curling up next to you for a cozy evening as she is heading out for a hike or a nice long walk. She’s always up for whatever you have planned—as long as she gets to be with you. She’s still getting used to car rides, but she handles them like a champ and is clearly excited for wherever the journey leads. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through it all, Claire is your girl. She’s ready to give her whole heart to someone who will love her right back. Come meet Claire—you might just find your perfect match 🐾❤️

Story
Jax was a gift to our boys from a local breeder and friend. He is gentle, smart, social and doesn’t like to be alone over 8-10 hours. He is very low maintenance. He is afraid of thunder. Jax does well inside at night and inside or outside during the day. He is protective of his home, his people, and his other animals. He is a short hair pyranees. Our children have all gotten married and moved away and we travel for work, so he is alone too much. We would love to find him a home with kids or other animals to guard and sleep on the floor next to their bed.

Story
B-Dawg is the biggest of his litter, along with being the bravest and boldest boy of them all. If your dream dog is tall, dark, and handsome… this is your guy! 🖤 B-Dawg is a mix of Great Pyrenees from his papa dog and Bully/Terrier from his mama dog. Since he was surrendered alongside the rest of his accidental litter, we know exactly where all of this cuteness came from! At just 11 months old, B-Dawg is already 89 whole pounds of fluffy, squishy love. This handsome fella is a huge fan of our agility equipment and keeps us entertained with all kinds of playful shenanigans out in the yard with his siblings. His favorite thing ever is a soccer ball, which he manages to fit in his entire mouth. He has previously lived with other dogs and does well with them. While he can be excitable through fencing, he has shown no aggression. B-Dawg is ready for somebody to loooovvveeee him as much as he loooovvveeees them. 🐾 Submit your application today to come meet this gentle giant!

Story
Budderball, what a boy! 🐾 Budderball thinks he belongs in your lap. Budderball thinks the only things he truly needs in life are snuggles and a nice spot pressed up against your legs. Budderball is also just really fun to say. At 11 months old and 77 pounds, this Great Pyrenees/Bully-Terrier mix is basically the full package. Honestly… enough said. Just look at that face! He is way too hard to resist. We know Budderball’s breed mix because he was surrendered alongside his littermates by the owner of his mama dog after an unexpected litter. He gets super excited to see other dogs through fencing, but we have not seen any aggression from him. Budderball can be cat-tested upon request, and we hope to learn more about how he does with kiddos as he settles in here at The Humane Society of Oldham County. Budderball is going to make an absolutely fabulous companion once his forever family comes to find him. If you think that could be you, submit your application today to get the ball rolling!
