Story
Meet Nimbus!Breed: Great PyreneesAge: 4.5 yearsWeight: 64lbsNimbus came to us in rough shape—his coat was severely matted, and he clearly hadn’t known much kindness. But with some much-needed TLC and a full grooming, this beautiful boy is starting to shine, inside and out. Though he’s still a bit shy about being outside (the world can be a big, scary place when you`re just learning to trust it), Nimbus is truly one of the sweetest dogs you`ll ever meet. He’s a calm, gentle soul who doesn’t pull on the leash, gets along well with other dogs, and gives off major teddy bear energy. Nimbus is looking for a patient, loving home where he can continue to heal and build confidence at his own pace. He’s already come so far, and with just a little more love, he’s going to blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he was always meant to be.Health: Nimbus is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, heart worm negative, and microchipped.Adoption Fee: Nimbus`s adoption fee is $80, not including applicable licensing fees.Contact Us: If you`re interested in him, please contact the New Albany Animal Shelter at 812-948-5355 to schedule a meet-and-greet.**Please complete the ADOPTION APPLICATION on our website, under the Public Forms tab; NOT the orange `Interested in this animal` Petango link.**

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
A man was walking around Walmart parking lot with puppies. Kai looked terrible. He smelled, had the worse case of fleas I’ve ever seen and was dripping wet. I don’t know what he’d been through up to that point but he was scared of everything. He still is. Men in particular. He needs someone who is patient and loving and willing to give him the good soft life he deserves. He got parvo when he was almost 1 year old and he pulled through. Lots of prayers and fluids later he was back to his sweet self. He survived so much. I wish I could give him the life he deserves but I’m facing homelessness and I’m afraid he will crated for longer than I’m ok with. Kai will be 3 in August. He still has a lot of puppy and so much love to offer.

Story
Dolly is a 3yr female Great Pyrenees mix at about 85lbs and Dixie (Dolly's daughter) is a 2yr female Great Pyrenees mix at about 56lbs and these girls are looking for their new forever family. They are being surrendered to GRRAND as their people can not financially afford the girls, and sadly feel  it is best for them to go to a home where they will get all of the care they need.  They are house-trained and have full roam of the house when left alone and they also get along with other dogs. These girls will need a home with a fenced in yard as their Great Pyrenees instincts to protect and patrol are done best in the confines of a secure and safe fenced in yard. These girls have been together since Dixie was born and they are BFF's, so need to stay together. We are told: " Dolly and her daughter Dixie are both sweethearts. Dolly is a mother by nature and wants to lick up and take care of all dogs that come into the house. Her favorite place to be is outside, whereas Dixie loves to be inside. They are both people and dog friendly and I have had a cat and they both were okay with the cat. Dolly has longer hair and has more pyrenees, whereas her daughter Dixie has shorter hair and looks more like a lab."   As we learn more we will update, but if you would like to inquire about Dolly and Dixie, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org ##2041630##

Story
Meet Rudolph! Rudolph is 2 months old, and is one of the three little golden/pyr puppies who recently came to GRRAND and are ready for adoption. Let Rudolph light up your holidays! Just like the famous reindeer story, Rudolph was the one who stood out first—sweet, curious, and a little unsure of himself, with a nose that always seems to find trouble and treats. These three puppies may have had a rough start, but like the story we all love, they prove that being different can be your greatest strength. All they need now is a family to help them shine. What are you waiting for? Visit www.grrand.org/adopt to take this sweet boy home. **** Puppies are a lot of work, and if you are interested in one of these puppies and have children, you should check out GRRAND policies page before you read further… In a nutshell, GRRAND policies stipulate a few important things that may stop you from applying A: GRRAND will NOT place a puppy under the age of 6 months with families with children under 6 yrs old B: Any applicant with children under the age of 16, will require a home with direct access to a securely fenced yard… so this means no apartments or condos Apartments and condos can also be tricky for adult only households, as puppies can be whiny and loud, and may make too much noise for the neighbors as well They will be looking for homes with fenced in yards and families with LOTS of time and patience to socialize and work with a puppy so they can grow up to be good dogs! Exercise and direction are a must for these little ones as a tired puppy is a good puppy!! They have boundless amounts of playful energy and need a constant outlet for it! Please fill out an app at GRRAND.org to meet Rudolph! ##2608822##
