Story
If you’re looking for the sweetest, mushiest, most tender loving gentle giant, Beau is the boy of your dreams! This absolutely gorgeous boy came into rescue with his husky companion when their family went through a devastating event which forced them to lose their home and their animals. Beau was raised by a family who absolutely loves him and wanted to ensure he would have the absolute best future. Thankfully a wonderful foster home didn’t hesitate to take him and his friend into their home and take excellent care of them until they find a wonderful future with committed homes. Beau was born on 8/2/22, so he’s just turned 3. He’s a big boy at around 80 lbs, but not a giant. He’s such a tender personality that his size is easy to love. He’s now had all medical work completed including vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, microchipping, he’s current on preventative and neutered! He’s a healthy happy ham of a boy and he’s ready to find his forever home! When Beau came in, he was accompanied by his besty, a female Siberian husky. We tried to place them as a bonded pair but unfortunately it’s proven difficult to find a home for them both together. In the interest of not holding up their lives and getting them to their dream homes, we have decided we will allow them to be placed separately. Beaus been raised his entire life by a family with young children, cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens and goats! He’s had absolutely incredible socialization and is amazing with other animals and everyone he meets! Beau has had great house manners and reliably goes potty outside! He has an overall easy going personality, loving to snuggle in the sofa, take walks, play in the water, play with other dogs, and enjoy nature! He is more of a country boy, and will do great in a home with a yard where he can soak up the peace and beauty that nature offers. He’d love to live with another dog whom he can snuggle and play with, but it isn’t a requirement. His main dream is parents who will be head over heels in love with him! He loves humans of all ages, he’s an overall remarkably tender, sweet soul. It’s just an added bonus that is so super handsome! He’s longing for devoted parents who will commit to him and adore him for life, where he can have a little bit of land, love, and adventure by your side! If this amazing boy is your dream pup, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!

Story
Handsome Ozzy is searching for his forever home and is available to meet you! He is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, 2 years old, weighs 85 lbs, and is fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy will thrive well in a rural setting, a quieter neighborhood with less stimulation from busy roads and frequent foot traffic. Ozzy is most content when there isn’t continuous outside stimulation from close neighbors, cars, dogs walking by or kids playing. When it’s quiet, he is so happy to just chill. He enjoys going for car rides and absolutely loves going for walks and walks well on leash using a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs who he has established a relationship with and will play and romp with them. His favorite pastime is hanging outside (when it isn’t too hot) where he can enjoy his surroundings. Ozzy loves to play with his toys and often chews on his elk antlers throughout the day. We are looking for a savvy home, one that is fully fenced in (no invisible fence), with no children under the age of 16. Ozzy likes to play and do doggy things with people and dogs he knows but there are times when he prefers his space and personal downtime. Better said, Ozzy is affectionate and loving, but he does have the Great Pyrenees independence trait so his home would need to recognize and understand that about his breed. He can be aloof toward people he is meeting for the first time as he takes time to assess his surroundings. Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has improved a great deal through training and consistency. His home would need to be mindful of this (especially if another dog is in the home) and continue working with him in this area. He does take food gently from your hand. We do not know how Ozzy is with cats so we would say no cats is best at this time. If interested in meeting Ozzy and learning more about him, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Story
Meet Olive! Olive is a 10 week old female Pyrenees/Collie mix looking for their forever family during the holidays! Mom is a purebred Great Pyrenees, but we think dad was a Collie, maybe Border Collie or Sheltie as they are much smaller than a normal Great Pyrenees would be at this age. Olive is the fluffiest most cutest puppy that you won’t want to stop snuggling with. She is gaining her adorable confidence each day with the help of the kids in her foster home and her Chocolate Lab foster sister. We love watching Olive’s personality come out more and more each day. Olive is spayed, on schedule for puppy vaccinations, microchipped and dewormed. is currently being potty and crate trained, but we always recommend further training upon adoption with a pup this age. If you are interested in adopting Olive, please fill out an application on our website, www.outriderdogsrescue.com, under the adoptables page. Thank you for choosing adoption and happy holidays! Story
**Now fostered in Corvallis, OR** Meet Muffin – the sweet, fluffy treat you didn’t know you needed! 🧁🍯 At 5.5 months old and already 50 pounds, Muffin is the perfect giant breakfast companion. With his soft, fluffy fur and puppy-dog eyes, this boy is every bit as comforting as a warm muffin fresh from the oven. We think he may be a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, but with rescue, it’s always a guess! Muffin is fostered with a big, happy pack—six Great Pyrenees, a Lab, a couple of smaller mix pups and two cats! He’s learned to get along beautifully with everyone. Muffin loves to play, wrestle, and snuggle, and he’s always happy to join in on the fun with his doggy (and kitty!) foster siblings. Muffin is potty and crate trained! He's a bit of an overachiever for his age! He’s playful, sweet, and curious—ready to bring joy to any home. Muffin's foster mom just adores his personality- it's hard to be in a bad mood when he's around! He's confident and just the happiest boy! Muffin is treat motivated which will help make continued training a breeze. Muffin would love a family who can give him plenty of love, structure, and routine, plus continued training and socialization to help him grow into the best boy he can be. Muffin will be a big boy (possibly 70 lbs. or bigger) so a home with a yard would be best. Muffin would thrive with another pup in the home to help him learn and keep him out of trouble. He wouldn't mind a kid sibling either! If your mornings feel a little plain, Muffin is the perfect recipe for joy, sweetness, and puppy love. 🐾 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6856e1215c2b2591a107c0c6 Question? Story
Meet Bear — the softest, sweetest, most tenderhearted big baby you’ll ever meet. At just seven months old, this gentle Pyrenees/Lab mix (we think!) is already winning hearts everywhere he goes. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves to lean in for pets, gives the sweetest kisses, and melts into anyone who offers him attention. He’s a people-lover through and through, and he greets new friends with a wagging tail and that soft, soulful expression that makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. Bear is wonderfully dog-friendly and loves to play, especially with pups who enjoy chase games or gentle romps. His favorite move? A joyful little bunny hop—his signature style thanks to past injuries to both hind legs. He’s fully healed now, but the result is his charming, wobbly bounce that only makes him more lovable. He can still play, explore, and enjoy life, but he sometimes runs out of gas sooner than other dogs. A female canine buddy who’s kind, patient, and medium-energy would be his perfect match. Watch Bear’s loving personality and hoppies in action! https://youtu.be/XjuArBJSe6U?si=jCr69j-N8uCWRb8w Despite being a big puppy, Bear is already impressively well-mannered. He’s potty trained, crate trained, and walks beautifully on leash. He checks in with his handler, leans into you as he strolls by your side, and responds easily to light corrections. He’s calm, social, and happy in new places and around new people. He enjoyed his assessment day so much you’d think it was his own meet-and-greet event. Bear’s cat test showed he was politely avoidant—never pushy, and never rude. He was a tad distracted so a retest, and even an overnight stay with kitty friends for Bear would be put in action for cats in a future home. We always want to ensure 100% approval from the kitty committee, just to be sure everyone feels comfortable. He could thrive in almost any home—house, backyard, cozy apartment, busy family life, or quieter environment. The one must-have? A first-floor apartment only, simply because he shouldn’t be doing flights of stairs with his special legs. Other than that, this boy is so easygoing and affectionate that he adjusts beautifully. Bear would likely be wonderful with children due to his gentle, loving nature, but an official kid test can be done before adoption to be certain. He’s still a puppy, so ongoing training and socialization will be important, but he’s already starting from a truly excellent foundation, but he is so ready to learn and grow! Especially if it’s for his forever family! Sweet, soft, cuddly, gentle, affectionate, dog-friendly, well-trained, funny little bunny-hop walk, and a heart made of gold—Bear is the kind of dog who lights up a home. He’s ready to find his people, love them endlessly, and bring so much joy into their lives. If you want a best friend who leans in close, adores you with his whole wiggly body, and makes every day sweeter just by being there… Bear is your boy.
