Story
Beau and Belle are a wonderfully sweet bonded pair who are longing for a future together! Their situation is pretty heartbreaking. They were owned by a family with very young children who lived on a small farm. They had cows, goats, chickens, cats, and horses. They were wonderful with everyone and the family adored them both very much. Sadly the family lived in poverty and when their roof caved in, they were forced to relocate all of their animals and themselves until they could afford to repair their home. They called crying, hoping that we could help these two ensure they had a bright, stable and well loved future. Everyone was very blessed that a wonderful family agreed to step in and take these two sweet pups and foster them until they can find a fabulous forever home. Belle is the female Siberian husky who is about 14 months old and wonderful! She’s now current on vaccines, deworming, heartworm testing, microchipping, preventative, and she is spayed! She weighs about 37 lbs and is healthy and thriving! Beau is a glorious pyranees who is 3 years old and abojt 75 lbs. he is also current on vaccines, deworming, microchipping, heartworm testing, preventative, and he is neutered! This amazing duo is ready to begin their next chapter together! Beaus lived with his family since he was a youngster, and eventually they decided to get him a best friend in Belle. They have had a foundational life that makes them really exceptional. Having been raised with very young children and free roaming on a farm, they have become dogs with a true love of children, exceptional recall, and wonderful temperaments towards other animals. They have come and go in and out as they please, and are wonderfully devoted and easy going. While they definitely enjoy their time outside in the sun (and surely the snow too!), they also are used to and truly love snuggling up on the sofa with their family, or sleeping close to a family member at night. They have been excellent reliably going to the bathroom outside and having great house manners. They are great both inside and outside, and love to be not only with each other but with other animals and their human family. They have excellent recall, love the peace of nature, and are happy to hop right up in the car for a ride anywhere! They are so well rounded and lovable. They are a perfect pair for a person or family who have a little bit of land and want wonderfully sweet dogs to be their devoted companions. If you’d love to welcome this beautiful pair into your home, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!

Story
Handsome Ozzy is searching for his forever home and is available to meet you! He is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, 2 years old, weighs 85 lbs, and is fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy will thrive well in a rural setting, a quieter neighborhood with less stimulation from busy roads and frequent foot traffic. Ozzy is most content when there isn’t continuous outside stimulation from close neighbors, cars, dogs walking by or kids playing. When it’s quiet, he is so happy to just chill. He enjoys going for car rides and absolutely loves going for walks and walks well on leash using a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs who he has established a relationship with and will play and romp with them. His favorite pastime is hanging outside (when it isn’t too hot) where he can enjoy his surroundings. Ozzy loves to play with his toys and often chews on his elk antlers throughout the day. We are looking for a savvy home, one that is fully fenced in (no invisible fence), with no children under the age of 16. Ozzy likes to play and do doggy things with people and dogs he knows but there are times when he prefers his space and personal downtime. Better said, Ozzy is affectionate and loving, but he does have the Great Pyrenees independence trait so his home would need to recognize and understand that about his breed. He can be aloof toward people he is meeting for the first time as he takes time to assess his surroundings. Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has improved a great deal through training and consistency. His home would need to be mindful of this (especially if another dog is in the home) and continue working with him in this area. He does take food gently from your hand. We do not know how Ozzy is with cats so we would say no cats is best at this time. If interested in meeting Ozzy and learning more about him, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Story
Looking to run with a big dog? Then Maui just might be an ideal match for you. He is a 4.5-year-old Great Pyrenees mix with a medium length tan and white coat. Did we mention big? Fully grown, he weighs 95 pounds and would benefit by putting on some additional weight. Remember, we said big. Maui is an easy going, medium energy guy who loves to lounge in a kiddie pool. Given his name, it would be no surprise if his preferred beverage is a tall Pina Colada, but we strongly recommend water instead. He is comfortable around children over the age of 5 and other dogs. He is a lovable goofball that enjoys playtime and hanging out with his people. He was previously living with a cat and unfortunately the relationship proved to be unsuccessful. He will need a home that does not have a cat as a family member. It would be best for him not to have small dog sibling since Maui prefers the company of larger dogs that will play with him. At his large size, boundaries and rules are a must for him. He will need an owner that consistently provides both for Maui.Maui has put in the hard work to officially say he is house, crate and leash trained. Way to go Maui! Although Maui is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Maui deserves to be in a forever home where he can thrive and be the outstanding pooch he is meant to be. All he needs is an affectionate home where he receives continuous training, socialization and exercise. And no Pina Coladas! Maui is waiting to meet you in a big, big way, so submit your application today. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Maui is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.November 22, 2025, 6:44 am
