Story
Meet Nicholas, a SUPER cute 3-4 month old neutered male Great Pyrenees mix! He currently weighs about 40 lbs and is expected to grow to a large dog.  This sweet floofy boy is good with other dogs, people, and kids (not cat tested). He is super soft, cuddly, and has a really awesome temperament. He is medically up to date, mostly housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet Nicholas today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2442526##

Story
APPLY FOR ZELDA Hey there, hoomans! The name's Zelda, and I burst onto this world on May 19, looking fabulous as ever—like a fluffy cloud that can fetch! I’m a striking mix of Great Pyrenees and Shepherd, and let me tell you, I’ve got enough fluff to rival a marshmallow factory!    I’m not just here to look cute (though I totally do). I’m super playful, super fluffy, and super smart! I need a family who’s about as fun as a barrel of monkeys and can teach me the wonders of life—like how to not eat all the treats in one sitting and the art of the perfect belly rub. I’m working on my housebreaking skills; you know what they say—every pup has to start somewhere! With a little consistency, I'll have it down faster than you can say "snack time!"   Now, for the nitty-gritty: Spayed (Don’t worry, I won’t be booking any doggie dates!) Microchipped (Guess I won’t be getting lost in the PetSupermarket again) Age-appropriate vaccinations (I’m healthy enough to chase my tail for hours!)   And let’s talk about what gets my tail wagging:  Love! (Like, I’ll love you more than that last slice of pizza) Awesome!! (I mean, what could be better?) The best (Especially if you’ve got snacks!)   If you want to open your home to this adorable fuzzball and show me the ropes of the good life, please fill out an application! I promise, my cuteness will thank you a million times over!   Apply at www.astdogrescue.com/dog-application If you cannot currently adopt, please consider sharing this post.  APPLY FOR ZELDA ##2455179##

APPLY FOR ZEUS I’m Zeus! You know, just like the Greek god—only fluffier and with slightly less lightning prowess. Think of me as the Great Pyrenees and Shepherd sidekick, ready to bring you all the joy of a divine dog! My birthday is on May 19, and if I keep eating treats like they’re going out of style, I'll be the Great Pyrenees/Shepherd version of a Hercules when I grow up!    Now, let’s tackle the snooze-fest stuff so we can get to the fun!    Neutered (Don’t worry—my superhero cape hasn’t been affected!)   Microchipped (Don't ask how—I have my secrets!)   Age-appropriate vaccinations (I’m more vaccinated than your average toddler at a playdate!)   Who do I get along with?  Ah, the whole gang! I’m basically the canine United Nations over here!   I’m also a brainiac in the making and ready to learn all sorts of doggy tricks—not just “sit” and “stay,” but maybe “fetch me a snack” and “give me belly rubs.” I’m on the look-out for a group of active humans who can keep up with my zoomies, but I promise to balance it out with some quality snuggle time on the couch (preferably with snacks).   Who's ready to roll out the red carpet and welcome this divine canine into their home? Let’s get this paw-some party started!   Apply at www.astdogrescue.com/dog-application If you cannot currently adopt, please consider sharing this post.  APPLY FOR ZEUS ##2455172##

Story
Hi there! My name is Jack, and I’m a big, fluffy, 5-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart full of love to give. I’ve known what it feels like to be part of a family—and I’ve been very loved—but due to some life changes, my previous humans couldn’t keep me. So now I’m on a journey to find something really special: my forever home. I’m a gentle giant with a loyal heart. Like many Pyrenees, I have a naturally protective side, so I’m hoping to find someone who understands my breed and can lovingly guide me with calm confidence (and maybe not let me get away with too much, no matter how cute I look!). I’d really love to be your one and only—no other pups needed when there’s already so much of me to go around! I’m looking for a home without young kids, as I prefer a quieter, calmer space. Older teens might be okay, as long as they’re respectful of my boundaries. I already know my basic manners, I walk nicely on a leash, and I’m in great health with all my vetting done. I’m ready to pack up my favorite toy and move in as your loyal companion and best friend. If you’re looking for a devoted buddy with a big heart (and an even bigger body), I might just be the dog for you. Love,Jack   ♥ APPLY FOR JACK ♥ ##2458058##

Story
Handsome Ozzy is searching for his forever home and is available to meet you! He is a gorgeous Great Pyrenees, 2 years old, weighs 85 lbs, and is fully vetted and microchipped. Ozzy will thrive well in a rural setting, a quieter neighborhood with less stimulation from busy roads and frequent foot traffic. Ozzy is most content when there isn’t continuous outside stimulation from close neighbors, cars, dogs walking by or kids playing. When it’s quiet, he is so happy to just chill. He enjoys going for car rides and absolutely loves going for walks and walks well on leash using a gentle leader. He gets along with other dogs who he has established a relationship with and will play and romp with them. His favorite pastime is hanging outside (when it isn’t too hot) where he can enjoy his surroundings. Ozzy loves to play with his toys and often chews on his elk antlers throughout the day. We are looking for a savvy home, one that is fully fenced in (no invisible fence), with no children under the age of 16. Ozzy likes to play and do doggy things with people and dogs he knows but there are times when he prefers his space and personal downtime. Better said, Ozzy is affectionate and loving, but he does have the Great Pyrenees independence trait so his home would need to recognize and understand that about his breed. He can be aloof toward people he is meeting for the first time as he takes time to assess his surroundings. Ozzy is working on his food bowl aggression and has improved a great deal through training and consistency. His home would need to be mindful of this (especially if another dog is in the home) and continue working with him in this area. He does take food gently from your hand. We do not know how Ozzy is with cats so we would say no cats is best at this time. If interested in meeting Ozzy and learning more about him, please email adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org and please include a phone number where you can be reached. Please Note: We are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If you're interested in making a difference in a dog’s life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.
