Logan is a good boy! He likes to chew bones, wrestle with our resident dog, take naps and he loves to bark! He's definitely in his teen years and can be a bit sassy, at times. He's a great big, lovable goofball who would do great with a family that wants to snuggle and play with him! Logan is a big boy who really likes people. However, due to his size and occasional mouthiness he'd do best in a home with older children. He also isn't super comfortable with small dogs. He would love to have a larger canine friend. He walks well on a leash but is working on some leash reactivity.

Story
Hi! I'm Benedict! I'm from Kentucky. From his foster: Benedict is a sweet pup who loves to get pets! He came in with a lot of mats (all that floof makes it a challenge...he will be getting a groom), but he really seems to enjoy being brushed unless you hit a mat & he is even very tolerant of that! He loves to meet he people! Everyone is his friend! He loves to sit out in the yard & survey his kingdom...although he often sneaks in a nap out there! He does know to do his business outside, but is more trained to a schedule that really making it known that he needs to go out (although he will go the door). For such a big dog, he walks pretty well on a leash. He's not totally sure about getting in the car, but rides nicely once he does. He is still very much a puppy at times! He will be super chill for a while & then just wants to wrassle with my dog. He is a rough & tumbler player, so probably needs a dog friend with a similar play style. He is also still learning what is & is not a chew toy. He really has chewed up much except tissues & a baggie, but has picked up (but not chewed) shoes. Unfortunately he thinks both the resident dog & I are chew toys at times in his puppy energy bursts. Its more mouthiness than biting (playing not aggression) but we are working on giving him space to chill down again & substituting approved chew toys. He ADORES chewing on antlers! For this reason and his size, he's probably not great with really little kids. He really isn't a big barker except once in while if he sees something concerning outside. We leave him out most of the time (he likes to sleep on a couch!) without incident, but do crate him if we go out. He goes in willing for the inducement of a Kong filled with peanut. So if you are looking for a sweet pup to cuddle up with and don't mind helping him learn to be a grown up dog, put in an application & come meet him!

Jem is a GEM of a puppy, (see what I did there?). Truly, a gentle (soon to be) giant. She is playful & cuddly. She enjoys a morning walk & is eager to greet you. She walks well on a leash, despite her ocasional puppy zig-zags. She is crate trained through the night with no whining. She is potty trained (98%!) very few accidents & only if she's had more water than usual or we have forgotten to take her out. Great with children of all ages, adults & other dogs. Unsure about cats & a little uncertain as to how she would do with one being she loves to chase the bunnies in our yard. She is calm & fairly relaxed overall. She would need to be let out every four hours to start, as would any puppy. We are working on not chewing on personal items, a simple redirection to one of her stuffed animals & she listens well. Such a smart girl, she has been a light to our family & looks forward to meeting you.      ##2014751##

Story
Well hey there! My name is Dorothy and I’m ready to find my furever family! I came to MN from the south and I quite like it here. I LOVE to be outside, no matter what temperature it is. After playing outside, I’m perfectly content to snuggle up with my blanket and take a nap. My favorite part of living the good life is getting to learn from my canine foster sister. She has really helped me learn the rules of being a dog, so I’d like to find another confident dog in my forever home. Do you have kids? Totally fine by me! I love having little people around and am very respectful of them. I take direction quickly and can’t wait to learn more commands from you! I like to sit back and observe my environment before jumping right in, so I might be a little shy when we first meet. But don’t worry, I’ll be asking for pets from you in no time! I’m ready to meet you if you’re ready to meet me, so fill out an adoption application today! If you would like to meet Dorthy, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Did I catch your eye? Learn more about me by reading my profile below; I just might be your new best friend! Apply on our website ( https://www.healingheartsrescue.org/adopt )  to  set up a private meeting or check below for my adoption event schedule.   Age: Approximately 4 years Weight: 80 pounds Dog Friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown  Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Rinda – “great one” in Norse mythology – is indeed a gentle, watchful, and calm great one.  Rinda has come a long way in her foster home, from being fearful of new places/noises/people/hiding in her crate, to being able to trust people and seek out her people for affection.  Due to her calm nature, she has done well with people of all ages (seniors to toddlers).  Being a Great Pyrenees mix, she still has that independent streak, but will sometimes jump on the bed or couch with her foster family.  She LOVES being petted!  Rinda still takes her lead from another dog, so a confident resident dog is REQUIRED in her home.  Rinda enjoys romping in her fenced back yard (fence is not a requirement) and smelling/exploring it all.  She is an incredible walker and enjoys the leash; she is also potty and crate trained (her crate is her safe place).  She also knows some basic commands.  With patience and guidance, Rinda will continue to blossom and be a wonderful, loyal, (and large!) companion.  Adoption Fee: $425  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.INTERESTED IN MEETING ME?
