Story
Location: Jordan, MN Buddy has had a rough start but he is learning how to be a dog! Slow introductions to other dogs is important and would do best with a submissive dog or as an only dog. Buddy does well with cats and would do best with older kids/no kids. He is learning how to trust men and how to respect other dogs at all times. He is potty trained and walks great on a leash. We are working on crate training and being more comfortable while we aren't home. He is just a wonderful boy who has lots of love to give but is learning boundaries as he was never taught and lived on a chain since he was a puppy. ----- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.

Story
Hello, This is Bruegger. We adopted him 3 years ago from the formerly known Secondhand Hounds Rescue. Our family continues to grow and we are unable to give him the attention he deserves. Bru is a larger breed dog who loves to be loved. He is very loyal and the protector of the house. Since he is a bigger dog that means a big bark. He loves to be active and go on walks or visit the dog park. Most of the time he is napping. Bru should be in a larger home with a large fenced in yard. He can take a longer time to settle down and is very excited when meeting other people and dogs. He is house trained. He can go in a crate, but does not necessarily like them. A home without children may be preferred.

Story
We rescued Mama a little over a year ago in April of 2023 from animal control. They assumed she was about 1.5years old and she was found with her puppies. We don’t know much about her history but she was so loving and ready to find a forever home. We already had a 6 year old Shepard mix and she quickly made herself alpha between the two. If there is another dog in the home, she will likely do the same. She has been nothing but a gentle giant to myself, my husband and our 4 year old son. She does great out on walks and is excited to see all people and dogs. Within our house, she becomes anxious and uncomfortable if too many people are around or enter. She needs her own space. While she has been great with our son, she becomes anxious with other kids that she doesn’t know. She nipped at our niece and drew blood on her face. The ideal house for mama would be a house without little kids coming and going, a fenced in yard (at LEAST 4 ft high), space to roam, a family ready to love her.

Story
Logan is a good boy! He likes to chew bones, wrestle with our resident dog, take naps and he loves to bark! He's definitely in his teen years and can be a bit sassy, at times. He's a great big, lovable goofball who would do great with a family that wants to snuggle and play with him! Logan is a big boy who really likes people. However, due to his size and occasional mouthiness he'd do best in a home with older children. He also isn't super comfortable with small dogs. He would love to have a larger canine friend. He walks well on a leash but is working on some leash reactivity.

Story
Welcome Athena to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2-year Great Pyrenees. She weighs about 90 pounds. She has a beautiful coat and the typical extra back toes commonly found in this breed. This is a guardian breed dog. They naturally will protect their flock or family. This breed will do best in a fully fenced yard as they will roam away if there is no fence. She is good with other dogs and will need some more leash work. She would be great with someone that knows the breed and loves it. She should have the natural tendencies of this breed. She had puppies and we adopted them out. We also adopted out the larger male that was found with her as a stray. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccines, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpal.info/ See her cute video!!

Story
This big teddy bear is ready to be adopted! Zara is a 3 year old Great Pyrenees and Komondor mixed breed and is one of the sweetest and most affectionate dogs I’ve met! She is a snuggler and will cuddle on you or as close as she can get for as long as you'll let her. She is housetrained and rarely has any accidents in the house. She does very well on the leash. She LOVES car rides! She is great with kids! She lets my kids crawl all over her. She is crate trained but is free to roam the house and is not destructive when left alone. Her previous owner had two cats and says she was great with them as well as other dogs that came over. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. Zara’s adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in giving her a forever home, please email adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com
