Story
Meet Mitzi – From Forgotten to Fabulous, She’s Ready for Her Fairy Tale Ending   This stunning girl is Mitzi, and while her story began with promise, it quickly turned into one of neglect and heartbreak. Originally brought into a home to 'protect chickens,' it didn’t take long for her humans to decide she wasn’t cut out for the job. Instead of being treated like the loyal companion she was meant to be, Mitzi was cast aside — left alone in an outdoor kennel, where love, comfort, and even basic care were nowhere to be found.   By just 10 months old, Mitzi was so matted and dirty that you couldn’t even tell what gender she was. She was underweight, ignored, and completely forgotten — until now.   Thanks to Critter Cavalry Rescue, Mitzi has been given a new chance at life. She’s been lovingly shaved down, bathed, vetted, and spayed. And for the first time in her young life, she’s in a foster home where she’s finally feeling what it’s like to be wanted. Her eyes are brighter, her tail wags with hope, and she’s soaking up the love and kindness like sunshine.   Now at 43 pounds, Mitzi still has some growing and filling out to do — we expect she’ll blossom into a healthy, happy 55-60 pound girl. She’s great with other dogs, friendly with every person she meets, and eager to start her new chapter. She’s never had the chance to live inside a home, but she’s learning fast — and with patience and love, she’ll become the perfect housemate in no time.   Mitzi is not just beautiful on the outside — she has a gentle, soulful spirit that’s ready to bond deeply with someone who will finally love her for who she is. No expectations. No cages. Just unconditional love and the joy of being part of a real family.   Whether you're in Tennessee or in the Northeast, Mitzi can come home to you — she’s available for local adoption and also for transport to an approved home up north.   If your heart is open to giving this sweet girl the life she’s always deserved, please reach out. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com ask about Mitzi.   Her past is behind her — and with your love, her future could be a Cinderella story in the making.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 21, 2025, 11:15 am

Story
Jumping Jack Junior is a dog with a huge smile and the most handsome good looks ever.   He is a Golden/Great Pyr mix that is only one year old and weighs 61 pounds.  We are guessing his breed but he seems more Golden in size and then more Great Pyr in appearance.  This boy is joyous and couldn't be more of a free spirit and  with an inviting personality to come and play with him and let him love your family.  Junior found himself in a Texas shelter because his owner was evicted from her home.  The two small 15 pound dogs living there with Junior, also lost their home and are in the shelter.  Junior has been a great big brother to these small dogs and he is most certainly now willing and able to be a friend to other small dogs and animals if needed.  He has no aggression in his soul and he is NOT reactive to any new encounters with other dogs when on a leash.  He is passive and fun loving and adores meeting new people to become his friend.  He is leash trained and housebroken and just one of those gorgeous A+++ dogs that you really need to consider taking home if you like the bigger than life luxurious dogs.  He is a Jumping Jack Prince of a dog.... Junior promises to be one of your best decision when adopting a dog to be by your side for the next 15 years.  If you are interested please don't hesitate and contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We can adopt him to Tennessee residents and also can transport him to northeastern families.  Just mention when you live when inquiring and asking for an application.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
Sadie is around 4 years old and is a cuddly 87 pounds currently. She is your typical, loving Pyrenees that has gotten along great with everyone she has met here. We would love for her to have a farm to roam but she could go in a fenced yard with supervision until she is accustomed to her new home. She was around cats and other dogs at the farm she previously lived on with no issues. She has always been an outside dog but is now loving to come inside with us and get cuddles. She was also immediately house trained and has not had an accident inside in the week she has been in. She is doing well with leash training here at the rescue also. This girl especially loves the little dogs and with her temperament, she should do well with all critters, cats, dogs and kids. This girl is just one big love bug! Sadie is spayed, microchipped and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention. Story
Joni was born September 1, 2024 and currently weighs around 20 pounds as she is the smallest of the litter. Her mom was a Great Pyrenees and dad was a full Lab. All puppies in this litter have affectionate temperaments and they do like cuddles. This little gal also loves toys. This baby will need all the training that goes along with a new puppy (leash training, house training, etc). She should do well with most active families but will need a fenced yard so that she can roam a bit. Pyrenees are a gentle breed that usually do well with other animals such as dogs, cats and livestock. They were around 6 cats in their old home with no issues. We were told that they also love popcorn. lol. Joni will be current on medical for her age. Story
Ally is around 4 years old and a very huggable 81 pounds currently. She has the loving, gentle Great Pyrenees personality and was around other dogs and cats at previous home with no issues. She has been great with the small and large dogs since she has been here. This is a true working girl and will need a farm to roam or, if you have a fenced yard, she can roam there with supervision until she knows her new home. She has always been an outside dog but since we have had her inside here, she is enjoying coming in to take a break and was automatically house trained as she has not had an accident inside. She is now walking well on leash too. Ally enjoys being inside now and in the mornings, we must wait until she goes to all the small dogs and tells them good morning with tail wagging.  She should be great with critters, dogs, cats, kids and an active family. She would be best with other animals so that she has a job and she loves them. Ally is spayed, microchipped and current on shots, heartworm and flea prevention.
