Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Introducing 'Dalton', one very handsome and gentle giant with gorgeous amber eyes.  While he's calm and well behaved around other dogs and loves attention from people, he makes it abundantly clear that he prefers not to be confined to a cage.  He is house trained and has good manners inside the house other than the occasional taking of socks left on the floor to his bed.  He does not chew things up but just takes them to his bed.  We're not sure if he's had experience guarding livestock, he does get along well with other dogs and cats.  He does like to spend some time outside when the weather is cool but prefers being inside with cool ac when  it is hot outside.  As you can see from his photos, his natural coat is long and luxurious, but he needed to be groomed and so was shaved early for warmer weather. Like all our rescue dogs, Dalton is neutered and up to date on vaccinations, worming, flea control and heartworm prevention.  His adoption fee is only $125.00 which includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If you'd love to claim this very special canine for your own, please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online adoption application (no cost or obligation).    Thanks for thinking rescue! RTH minimum adoption age is 25 years old. Date of Birth: 1/21/2026 (estimated) Location: Conroe, Texas (For out of state adopters, transport will be arranged once adopted, and the cost of transport is included in the out-of-state adoption fee.) Meet Bandit — our handsome little survivor with a heart as big as his fluffy paws! 🤍 Bandit is a happy, fun-loving boy is all about playtime, tail wags, and making new friends. Bandit absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine buddy to share his adventures. Whether it’s romping around the yard, chasing toys, or just being part of the pack, he’s happiest when he’s surrounded by friends. Bandit has already faced more than most pups his age, bravely battling through a tough illness like an absolute champ. Now that those hard days are behind him, he’s ready to focus on what really matters — living his best life and soaking up every joyful moment! We believe Bandit is a Great Pyrenees mix, which means he’s got that perfect blend of sweetness, loyalty, and a gentle spirit — plus all that irresistible fluff! Bandit is ready for a fresh start with a family who will continue to show him how wonderful life can be. After everything he’s been through, he deserves nothing less than a lifetime of love, fun, and cuddles. If you’re looking for a resilient, joyful pup who will remind you every day how beautiful life is, Bandit is your boy. 🐾 Texas In state Adoption Fee - $225* Out of state Adoption Fee - $425* **Note - RTH enforces a strict spay/neuter policy. Story
Meet Felipe This fluffy heartthrob is a 4-month-old Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix with a personality as big as his paws! Felipe has never met a stranger—humans, dogs, probably even squirrels… all instant besties in his book. His biggest passion in life? WATER. Kiddie pool? Yes. Hose? Absolutely. Water bowl? Don’t mind if he turns it into a splash zone. If it involves getting a little wet and a lot happy, Felipe is your guy. He’s equal parts goofy, cuddly, and adventurous—ready to play hard, then melt into you for snuggles like the oversized teddy bear he is. With his soft fluff and constant smile, he’s basically sunshine in puppy form. Felipe will be available for adoption on March 28th, and trust us—you’re going to want to dive right in with this one March 28, 2026, 11:07 am

Story
🐾 Meet Kalei — The Fluffy, Lovable, Adventure-Ready Goofball! 🐾Great Pyrenees & Shepherd Mix | Pure Love | Part Dog, Part Teddy BearOH. MY. DOG. Have you ever wished for a giant, snuggly best friend who thinks she’s a lap dog? Then let us introduce you to Kalei — a sweet, goofy, gentle giant who brings the fun and the fluff.Kalei is the ultimate combo of playful puppy and wise old soul. She adores her little dog friends (even the bossy Chihuahuas), happily shares her toys, and will melt your heart with her famous "lean of love" — though at 127 pounds, consider yourself warned: this is a full-body experience. Some of Kalei’s favorite things:🎾 Playdates with doggy pals🛏️ Sprawling on her giant orthopedic bed like royalty🚗 Car rides with the windows down (ear flaps optional)🌲 Exploring new walking trails with her humans in towShe’s crate-trained, knows how to sit, and is brushing up on her trick repertoire — mostly so she can politely request snacks.Fun fact: Kalei is part bionic! After a rough start (she was hit by a car as a pup), she had a hip replacement and healed like a total champ. Now she’s running, romping, and keeping up with the pack like the superhero she is.What Kalei really wants now is a forever family — ideally with another doggy buddy — and a human or two who will let her lean on them (literally and emotionally). If you’re looking for a giant heart wrapped in soft fur, Kalei is ready to be your adventure buddy, couch companion, and oversized shadow.👉 Apply to adopt Kalei — she’s ready to fill your life with love, laughs, and just a little bit of drool.AARF Houston transports to approved adopters outside of Texas.

Story
Sweet girl. She is 6 years old. Been raised with children. She can get playful and doesn’t always realize she is as big as she is. She does have food aggression, so feeding her separately is the best. She comes with an automatic food dispenser and an extra large kennel. She does well in a kennel overnight. She’s mainly been an outside dog, but comes in during bad weather. She is scared of storms. She only barks when there is a reason. She will need a good yard and a good fence. Got divorced and I’m not home enough to give her the attention she needs.
