Story
Hussar, a male Pyrenees mix not quite a year old, boasts a wonderfully easy-going nature. Rescued from a neglectful and abusive situation where he was constantly chained outdoors, he's now seeking a forever home to provide the love and care he needs to thrive as the sweet and joyful dog he truly is. He's currently in a foster home with two other large dogs and gets along great! His experience with cats is limited, so he hasn't been tested around them. Hussar is both playful and calm with children, having aced the lively 5-year-old test! He revels in playtime, adores affection, and enjoys spending time in the yard, now free from chains. He has a fondness for women but remains slightly wary and cautious around men due to his past. Fed separately due to a bit of treat-envy, he's nonetheless an excellent companion for other dogs. His preferred foods are Open Farms and Stella and Chewy. Are you ready to offer Hussar the loving future he deserves? Let's arrange a meeting!

Story
We are so sad to lose him, but need to find a new home for our 10-month-old Pyrenees mix, Willett. He is a wonderful, calm, cuddly giant who we think would do well in a home *without kids* and where he is the only pet, and the owner can commit to clear boundary-setting and training for him. Details: - Currently living in NW Hills, in Austin - Male Great Pyrenees mix - 10-months-old - Was surrendered to Austin Animal Shelter in September, adopted by us 10 days ago - Not neutered - Up-to-date on all shots but will need LEPTO and rattlesnake vaccine booster - Recently got monthly dose of Heartgard/Nexgard - Not particularly treat or food motivated, but is a resource guarder While Willett has no history of aggression, he exhibited some early signs of resource guarding with our toddler (a quiet growl on two occasions). After speaking with four different trainers, we unfortunately came to the conclusion that he will not do well in our household with small children (2-year-old a

Story
We adopted Mondo in 2020 from a friend who was not able to keep her. Mondo is a fluffy goofball; she is full of love and makes new best friends very quickly. Mondo is 4 years old, and her birthday is Valentine's Day. She loves to take naps laying out in the yard and cuddling on the couch. She gets along well with other dogs both large and small. She knows basic commands, she is a bit stubborn but given the right motivation she is easily trainable. She is a beautiful, sweet dog that has been a wonderful companion for the last 4 years. She has not spent any time around children, she is very gentile, and I don't anticipate this would be a problem. Mondo is being re-homed due to me moving for a job opportunity and I am no longer able to provide her a large yard and the amount of time that she deserves. She is protective of her yard and will bark at small animals or people approaching her yard. She has an intermittent limp on her back right leg due to a knee injury.

Story
Neville is a very sweet, protective boy. He's about 11 months and I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He was adopted from a rehoming group on Facebook. He's usually a lazy boy, and prefers to only do a short walk on a regular basis. He loves snuggles and wants to be by your side constantly. Unfortunately, he is very jealous and gets possessive when other dogs are around his favorite person. He would do best with someone that has a lot of patience since he is still young and someone who is physically capable of handling a large dog. He is potty trained, crate trained and up to date on all vaccinations/preventatives until September. He isn't neutered due to me not being able to lift him up my stairs post surgery.

Story
Billy is a super playful and cuddly dog who loves playing with toys, especially bouncy balls. He has a fluffy coat and enjoys the water - his signature move is jumping in the water and then rolling in wood chips or grass then going back in the water….on repeat. While playing fetch, Billy will bring the ball back to you and drop it in your lap, he’s wonderful at self entertaining! He is very cuddly and loves to snuggle up with his humans. Billy is house-trained and knows basic commands. He would thrive in a home with a backyard where he can run and roll around. Billy has a medium energy level and would do well with a mix of play time and snuggle time.If you`re looking for a fun and loving companion who enjoys playtime and snugs, Billy is the perfect match for you!
