More info on the sisters! Born Nov 22, 2022. Fully vetted. Stella is more golden in color and Miss Fluff is more fluffy coated w darker color. Stella and Miss Fluff are beautiful and smart Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mixes. Both girls are spayed and UTD on vaccinations. These girls came from a place where they didn't have much human contact and were semi-feral when I rescued them March 2024. They have both come a LONG way since then, but there are still things that they've never experienced, so we're working on socializing them on as many things as we can and whoever adopts them will need to as well. They're doing well overcoming their fears and with continued socialization and positive training, they'll be great companions for the right families. Right now, they’re like big puppies experiencing new things. The girls have been together their whole lives, but they can be adopted to separate families Stella is a friendly, open and smart girl who is learning all about life in a short period of time. She's come from a shut down, almost feral dog to liking people and trusting them more and more in a short time. She's doing great at obedience and will sit, down, wait and touch on cue and she pays nice attention to you when she's with you. She wants to please and works for both treats and praise. Stella is great on leash and loves long walks. She loves water and is learning how to play with toys. Once she trusts you, she loves getting hugs and kisses! While she does still get scared about new things, she's working her way through those things quickly now. Stella would do great in a home where she can be part of the family, preferably an active one. She'd do great as a running companion. She likes children but a home with kids over 10 is probably best. Stella has never lived in a house, so she would need to be contained for times when you can't be with her as she might chew. She is not a dog that you can just leave out in a yard. She will dig or jump her way out. Stella likes male dogs more than female, but has always lived with her sister, so a female friend isn't out of the question. She has seen cats but never been with them but has never shown any aggression towards one. Stella has never been tested on livestock, so while she is an LGD, she would need to be trained to do the job and we don't know if she has the natural instinct needed for the job. If Stella is adopted within the Canyon Lake area, she will come with free training to help her adjust to her new life. Miss Fluff is a very smart and independent girl who is learning to trust people and has come a long way in a few short months. She is learning obedience, but she isn't at the level her sister is as she isn't as food/praise motivated. Miss Fluff isn't a fearful dog. She meets new challenges easily, but she needs someone who will take the lead and show her the best way to handle things instead of her choosing how to react. Miss Fluff is friendly but will always be a bit more aloof and protective than her sister Stella and is more like an Anatolian in temperament. Miss Fluff loves water and is learning how to play with toys. She is learning obedience and she's excellent on leashed walks. She wants to be a partner to someone more than a baby, if that makes sense. Miss Fluff has never been tested on livestock, but she has more natural ability. A working home would be considered if you are committed to training her to do the job, preferably with another trained LGD to help her. Miss Fluff is good with most dogs with the proper introduction, but she has not been tested on cats yet, she has been near cats w no reactive issues. She would do best in a calm home with adults that will reward positive behavior. She would need to be contained when you're not able to watch her until you can trust her not to chew things or try to escape. Like Stella, she is not a dog you can just leave in a yard. She's good at finding weaknesses in fencing and will try to escape, until they feel safe with you. She comes back, but she enjoys the challenge! Miss Fluff is a dog that if you spend the time for her to trust you, train her positively and push her slow but steady, she will end up being an amazing partner for the right person. Story
Meet Bonnie (affectionately called Bon Bon), a 6-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with movie star looks and a heart full of joy. With her striking eyes that look like she’s always wearing eyeliner, Bonnie is as stunning as she is sweet. She’s currently being fostered in New Braunfels, TX, and is growing into a playful, affectionate companion. Bonnie is dog-friendly and loves romping around with her foster brothers. Whether it’s chasing a ball during a game of fetch, gnawing on a chew bone, or simply running around the yard, she’s always up for fun. With medium to high energy, she thrives in a home where she has space to stretch her legs and a family who can keep up with her playful spirit. She’s already mastered “Sit” and walks well on a leash, showing off just how smart she is. Bonnie is working on her housetraining and making great progress every day. Her kennel is her safe haven—she naps there and sleeps through the night like a champ. Bonnie loves attention and bonds quickly with her people. She’s happiest when she’s being showered with affection or, hilariously, helping with the laundry! One of her cutest habits is putting her paws on the hamper and pulling clothes out—she insists on being part of the folding process. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving pup with a gorgeous face and a personality to match, Bonnie is your girl. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and love to her forever home. Her adoption fee is $300 in-state and $550 out-of-state, which includes transportation. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Bonnie click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-651 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).
