Hi there,
Im desperate to find a foster for a very dear client/friend who is battling Breast Cancer. She’s had stem cell replacement that didn’t take, and almost passed last week due to sepsis. She waiting second stemcell procedure which will be in end September, and is/will be in Houston MDAnderson for at least 5 months.
They have a nonverbal 16 yr old son who is severely handicapped as well, and their Dripping Springs home has been infected with mold, so they are air bnb for the foreseeable future… husband and kids are focused on care for their handicapped son/ and her. They are overwhelmed.
It’s tragic. I’m beside my self and desperate to help.
Addicus Legacy will tag her, but I need a foster.
Food and meds will all be covered for the foster. Her family is grieving this decision, but my friend has to be the focus and her immune system cannot sustain a dog

She lives with Charli so it’s not that she can’t be with other dogs. It’s more the bone and food situation.
She gets along with other dogs…..but bones and she is weird about her food. Charli has learned to leave her alone. I just think ideally if she were only dog…. Would not have to worry about it. She is fine in public with others. She has always been the alpha with Charli.

Meet Luna 🐾
Luna is a sweet, loving 8-year-old girl looking for the right home. She is a 50% Great Pyrenees / 50% Catahoula Leopard Dog mix and is up to date on her vaccinations and medical care.
She absolutely loves people and has a gentle, friendly personality. Luna grew up in a home with five children and does great with kids. She tends to prefer people over other animals and would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home.
Luna loves being outside, exploring, and going for walks. Even at 8 years old, she’s happy to walk 2–3 miles and enjoys having space to roam and spend time outdoors.
A few important things to know about Luna:
She has a high prey drive, so a home without cats or small animals would likely be best.
She can be protective of her food and bones and prefers to have her own space while eating.
Because of this, we’re looking for someone who understands her boundaries and can provide her with a comfortable, stable environment.
Most of all, Luna is an incredibly sweet, people-loving dog who would make a wonderful companion for the right person or family. She has a lot of love to give and deserves a great home for this next chapter of her life. ❤️
