Story
Elijah, "Eli" for short is a sweet, active, gentle Great Pyrenees, only 2 years old with long white fur. He lives outdoors fulltime with sheep and goats in a small farm and sleeps in a big doghouse and a shed sometimes, and he is a good guard dog against predators. He is alert, in good health, up to date with shots, takes monthly heartworm and flea medication (NexGard Plus). We acquired him 2 years ago from a friend who had too many puppies. Friendly, playful, weighs 100 lbs. -- Rehome reason--- neighbor doesn't like barking. Eli is alert and barks day or night when he sees anything that gets too close to the fence or hears anything in his area. He has been inside the house a few times and has been mellow, but he is not housebroken. Eli will be comfortable living outside with his own doghouse or shelter with access to water. With training, he can learn to live inside a house. He eats dry dog food for big breeds mixed with some meat but he should be ok with dry dog food only.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/wally2021/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi there – I'm Wally, a striking Great Pyrenees mix with a soft, fluffy coat and soulful eyes. I’m looking for a special home where I can truly shine. I didn't come to FOHA with a lot of background info, and it seems I may not have spent much time in a traditional home environment. That means things like TVs or loud noises can be a little overwhelming for me at first. I’m part of FOHA’s Diamond Dog program, which means I come with extra support to help my adopter set me up for success! I’d thrive with an experienced owner who understands the independent and protective nature of my breed and is committed to continuing my training and building trust over time. I need a single-dog home in a quiet, adult-only setting—preferably one with a fenced yard and no shared walls (so no apartments or condos, please). My ideal home will be patient, loving, and respectful of my space. HOW AM I WITH DOGS: I need to be the only dog in the home. I’ve shown some reactivity toward certain dogs and do best without canine roommates. HOW AM I WITH CATS: No cats for me, please. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: I need a home without children. Sudden movements and high activity levels can be stressful for me. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: I’m still learning! I may not know many formal commands yet, but I’m eager to bond with my people and would benefit from positive reinforcement training. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I am doing well with housebreaking, and I’m working on being comfortable in a crate. Like many dogs from less traditional backgrounds, structure and routine help me thrive. THINGS I LIKE: Butt scratches (I absolutely love them!) Spending time with my favorite people – especially my FOHA girlfriends and my “mom” Paula Exploring the outdoors – I love to roam and carry my food bowl around the yard Calm, predictable routines THINGS I DISLIKE: Loud noises and fast activity inside the home (like TVs or kids playing) Livestock – I have a strong prey drive and am not safe around farm animals Being crowded by other dogs – I prefer my space Living in busy environments like condos or apartments

Story
Thorn is a 3.5 year old neutered Great Pyrenees/Husky mix. He’s great with older kids that will respect his , been fine around livestock, he’s done well with most dogs big and he does fine with cats but he does like to chase them to play. The only bad behavior we’ve ever seen out of him were 3 instances where he acted food aggressive toward other animals, but never towards people and it wasn’t a consistent problem, but after the third incident we’ve just fed him away from other animals to be safe. I’m not sure why it even started, but I believe it could be worked on and a nonissue with a little time and effort. Hes not an escape artist but he will wander if given the opportunity, so fenced in property would be a plus. He does fine with a harness/leash. He’s not very high energy but he does like to play for a bit and he enjoys car rides. He’s grown accustomed to having indoor/outdoor access almost anytime he wants and he loves to be outside.
