Story
My name is Chachi and I am a very handsome and loving Great Pyrenees boy that is 18 months old and only 98 pounds.  I am big but NOT HUGE!   You see me smiling?Well, I do this all the time because I am a happy dog and I want people to know that I am very friendly and ready to be petted.   I really do like all people and all dogs that I meet.  I really, really love children too!   They say that my breed requires a fenced yard and I have to say that is a really good idea.  I like spending time outside and you really don’t want to have to sit and watch me for safety reasons if you don’t have a secured fence.   So…. if you have a physical fenced yard then Critter Cavalry Rescue would like to speak with you.  I think that if you love BIG dogs that I am a rather handsome dude to consider.  Mud puddles might NOT be my friend but big snow falls and deep banks would make me really happy!  I could stay clean very easily.   I am almost housebroken, and crate trained.    I would like to be your inside cuddle/lovebug and maybe help you start the new year off to a nice white fluffy start!  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP and ask all the questions you want about filling out an adoption form.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 17, 2024, 10:21 pm

Story
My name is Ocean and I am a 4 year old Great Pyrenees mix girl that is on the smaller side of 70 pounds and I love being outdoors.   I am looking for a home with some land to run on and a family  that will let me be inside as well as outside.  I am housebroken, great with children and dogs and good on a leash.   If I want out of a chain link yard, I will make sure I find a way out.  The only fence that would completely keep me contained is a privacy fence or a six foot iron fence that I cannot climb.  I just being a free spirit and so I could see myself living in the Northeast especially where it is cold and maybe out in the country or woods where I can explore but willing to always come home. I am truly a loving and sweet girl that  you will never regret loving or adopting.  My current family adores me but their yard is small and I need more room to run and enjoy my Great Pyrenees habits of being an outdoorsy kind of breed.   If you are interested then please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   I am ready to find my final family to love with all my pretty and pure heart. April 17, 2024, 10:21 pm

Story
Likeable Leo is a very handsome, one year old, 80 pound, Great Pyr boy that is crate trained and a ton of fun.  He loves to play with the other dogs in the fenced backyard and to wrestle and just enjoy the great outdoors.  Leo is so good with people, other dogs and will probably be fine with cats because he is really laidback and easy going.  You need to be sure you know about the Great Pyrenees breed and their unique personalities.  They are more reserved and like to be observers before they commit to being your friend.  Likeable Leo is losing his home because his elderly parents have had health issues and Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping them to rehome all 5 of their dogs.  This boy is ready to go if you are and if you have a fenced yard.  Please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you would like an application. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 17, 2024, 10:21 pm

Story
Odin is a truly handsome, young, 88 pound, Great Pyr boy that was born 1/2/23 and is looking for a family to love and chill with.  This big boy is fully grown and is the so very easy going and good natured.  He was raised with his brother Thor on a country property owned by a senior lady who has come to realize that both the brothers need homes where they can be an inside dog and part of the family.  She cannot provide that and so is now willing to let each one go to separate families that might have children (he loves children) and to be a part of maybe even living with other dogs or cats.  He is good with everyone he meets and all creatures.  This boy is not housebroken as he has never been inside for any length of time to learn the rules and the signals for potty breaks.  He is a loving and easy dog to have around and we want him to become a part of a family life that offers him a big dog bed and lots of love and guidance.  He is good with meeting new people and doesn’t bark excessively at all.  He will bark if he is bored outside in a pen.  He plays nicely and is fun and happy.  If you are interested in this one year old handsome boy please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and let us know where you live:  city and state and let’s start a conversation about him possibly becoming a part of a special family lifestyle.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

Story
Thor is a handsome 80 pound, one year old boy (as of 1/02/24) and he is looking for a home and family to claim him as their own.  This boy was raised by a loving senior lady who was not able to allow he and his brother to be inside her small home.   After much soul searching, she knows that these two handsome boys need more interaction than she can give them and they would love to be inside the home being treated like family pets.  He is OK on a leash but could improve with some practice.  He is good with other dogs, cats and loves children.  What Thor needs is just a chance to be inside a home and cuddling on the sofa or a nice big dog bed on the floor for him to join the family.  He is not housebroken because he has never had the chance to be taught what being inside was like and then going outside.  Could someone help change his life and help him bask in the love and comforts of a family home!?  If you are interested, Thor is fully vetted and neutered and microchipped…then please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  You won’t regret it. Story
Curious Civic is our most handsome freckled face, 80 lbs. Great Pyrenees mix boy that is just so laid-back guy that is just so wonderful to consider for an adoption.  He has a beautiful blue eye and that could be from so many different breed mixtures that influence his good looks.   This boy is under a year of age and at times can be dog selective if there is an alpha that tries to dominate him.  He is just won’t take being pushed around.  Most Great Pyrs will not.  It is their breed and nature of the breed. He walks great on a leash, enjoys car rides and has a nice disposition that is loving and mild mannered.  He would be a wonderful couch companion for watching anything YOU want on TV.  He is neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and micro chipped If you are interested in this boy please contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   He is ready to go! Story
We acquired Everest when we found him scared and abandoned on the side of the road. He was malnourished with severely unkept hygiene and hair. We brought him in, cleaned him up, got him up to date with shots and then checked to see if he was micro chipped(he was not). The Vet believed he is around 5 or 6, although we do not know exactly how old he is. Everest is very loving and gentle, but does like to have attention. Which is why we are looking for a home that is capable of giving him the love and attention he deserves. When we found him, we were living in Georgia with an are of land. So he had plenty of room to run and stay fit. Now we live in a house with an extremely tiny backyard, and with having children, it’s hard to keep him fit and give him the attention he needs. So we hope whoever gets him is loving and has time to give him the care he deserves!

Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include 'sit', 'stay', 'wait' and knows to wait for 'yes' and 'OK' before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Moon is such a beautiful big girl! She absolutely LOVES people, especially if you want to rub her belly. She did well at our dog adoption event, but she can be a bit dog selective when it comes to making new doggie friends. She gets excited about going for a walk and will pull on a leash at first, but then she calms down. She's a smart girl too and listens when you call her name. Let us know if you want to meet Moon! Story
Hi, my name is Meadow. I'm a big girl with an even bigger heart and I can't wait for a forever home! Humans call me a Great Pyrenees but on the inside I'm a mix of love bug, devotion and playfulness. I'm house-trained and have had no accidents in my foster home so far. I have decent leash manners and am not a big puller, which is good because I have energy to burn and need lots of exercise. I take treats gently and show no signs of resource guarding. I'm a quiet giant - my foster family has yet to hear me bark. I'm initially shy with new people but warm up quickly. Once I'm friends with someone, I love to lean against them to get neck and rump scratches. If you sit on the floor with me, I may try to make myself a lap dog!For all my size I'm a bit of a wus and startle easily. I'm not destructive but I still have some puppy in me and can get into mischief. Smaller critters get my attention and I'm not sure if I'd be good in a home with cats. I hardly shed at all but my fluffy, super-soft coat will need daily brushing and regular baths and grooming. I'm eager to please and would do well in a calm home where someone is around most of the time to cuddle, take me on walks and work patiently with me on perfecting my manners. I'd love to be your best friend and devoted companion! Thank you for your interest in Meadow B!
