Story
Charlotte is not only a sweetheart but she is very smart. She is happy to join you as you watch tv or play fetch outside. She is very food motivated so she learns tricks easily as long as treats are involved. Charlotte is potty trained!!!! We leave Charlotte in a crate while we are out working and she has no accidents. Charlotte also sleeps through the night and is not destructive. No shoes have been harmed during the foster period.  Charlotte will learn your routine in no time and be an amazing family pet. I have truly enjoyed fostering her and she has made it very easy. Shes a big baby that weighs over 30 pounds already but she is extremely sweet and loves her people. Adoption Day: December 6th at PetSmart Tysons Corner from 10:00–11:00 AM, an approved adopter must be present to adopt. Some pups may stick around until 11:00 AM for the public event—check our Facebook page closer to the date to see if this pup will be attending the extra fun!  ##2560872##

Story
When HART first rescued Newton, this gorgeous boy was very shy. Since being in a loving foster home, he has shown significant improvement! He is less shy when meeting new people, and after proper introduction, he seeks out chin scratches and belly rubs. Newton has enjoyed running in the backyard, chasing a ball, and he will certainly need a secure, fenced yard to safely explore and get his zoomies. Newton is house trained, sleeps well at night in his kennel, does not have separation anxiety, occasionally barks but settles down, takes treats gently, and knows basic commands to include "sit", "stay", "wait" and knows to wait for "yes" and "OK" before proceeding. He walks well on a leash particularly in the neighborhood and on trails but needs additional training to prevent occasional pulling. He sheds his gorgeous coat once a year and fortunately loves to be brushed with a wire brush to keep it under control. He gets along well with other dogs after a proper introduction and would benefit from having another confident dog in the home. Newton is not at all aggressive and responds to scary or new situations by backing away so he can get comfortable on his own terms. As he continues to overcome his shyness, he has shown that he is eager to explore, have new experiences, and meet new people. Newton is looking for a family that will continue with his training and socialization to ensure he will reach his potential. Inquire about meeting Newton because it will be love at first sight! Story
Jumping Jack Junior is a dog with a huge smile and the most handsome good looks ever.   He is a Golden/Great Pyr mix that is only one year old and weighs 61 pounds.  We are guessing his breed but he seems more Golden in size and then more Great Pyr in appearance.  This boy is joyous and couldn't be more of a free spirit and  with an inviting personality to come and play with him and let him love your family.  Junior found himself in a Texas shelter because his owner was evicted from her home.  The two small 15 pound dogs living there with Junior, also lost their home and are in the shelter.  Junior has been a great big brother to these small dogs and he is most certainly now willing and able to be a friend to other small dogs and animals if needed.  He has no aggression in his soul and he is NOT reactive to any new encounters with other dogs when on a leash.  He is passive and fun loving and adores meeting new people to become his friend.  He is leash trained and housebroken and just one of those gorgeous A+++ dogs that you really need to consider taking home if you like the bigger than life luxurious dogs.  He is a Jumping Jack Prince of a dog.... Junior promises to be one of your best decision when adopting a dog to be by your side for the next 15 years.  If you are interested please don't hesitate and contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   We can adopt him to Tennessee residents and also can transport him to northeastern families.  Just mention when you live when inquiring and asking for an application.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 19, 2025, 1:16 pm

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Koda! Koda is about 4 years old and weighs about 88 lbs. We think Koda looks like a Great Pyrenees. Koda is a happy boy who loves to run in the backyard at his foster home. He loves other dogs and does well with all of the many dogs in his foster home both big and small. Koda is good with the resident cat, but the cat puts him in his place. He does bark at the cat but does not chase the cat. Koda loves attention and is happy to lay at your feet and watch you work. Koda is not in a foster home with children. If there are children in Koda's forever home we think he would do best with children 7 years and up. Koda seems house trained and prefers sleeping on the cold ceramic tile in his foster home. Koda would do best in a home where someone is around a good portion of the day as this is what he is used to in his foster home. Koda is NOT an outdoor dog and he is NOT good with farm animals. Koda is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CK Rescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
Meet Bumi.  This gorgeous boy is a Bernese Mountain Dog/Golden Retriever mix, also known as a Golden Mountain Dog. His original family purchased him from a breeder, but our vet believes they were allergic and unable to continue caring for him. Their loss is truly someone else’s gain because Bumi is an AWESOME dog. Bumi is being fostered by Ramya and her family, which includes a 10-year-old son, two large dogs, and three cats, and he does well with everyone. He loves kids and has been fantastic with their son and his friends. With dogs, he’s polite, adaptable, and reads the room well. He’s happy to play with the energetic pup, and respectful with the other dog who prefers space. He’s also good with cats (even though they’re still keeping their distance ). Bumi gets daily walks and has great leash manners; he even knows heel! He meets new people and dogs without issue and handles an active household with ease. Ramya describes him as playful, affectionate, and a total snuggler, but not pushy about attention. He also has excellent house manners: fully housetrained, crate-trained, and even chooses to nap in his crate on his own. Overall, Bumi is a big, sweet, happy-go-lucky boy who would make an amazing family dog.   NOTE: Bumi will be coming to town on 12/6 and is going to a foster-to-adopt home. We'll give his foster family a few weeks to assess his fit before we consider other adopters.   BEED ESTIMATE: Bernise Mountain Dog/Retriever Mix - Golden Mountain Dog GENDER: Male APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 89 bs APPROXIMATE AGE: ~3 years old COAT TYPE:  Medium wavy coat ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: UTD on shots/neutered/microchipped LOCATION: Columbia, SC   FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster and want to learn more, please go to https://foster.worthydog.org and fill out an application.
