Like, truly. If you happen to have one, we might become best friends pretty quickly. Treats in general are a great way to win me over, but hot dogs? Those are my absolute favorites. I’m also a really great walking buddy! I walk nicely on a leash and enjoy getting out for fresh air and exploring the world around me. He is the sweetest and loves everyone he meets, human or canine. He loves games of fetch, exploring the yard (chasing squirrels!) and especially chewing on his favorite toy. Spending time with people is tops! He even takes long moments just to lovingly gaze into your eyes. He has a calm, sweet side and loves to snuggle and give hugs - his hugs are super gentle! Dice will thrive in a family that will cherish him and include him in all of their adventures. Joy is the perfect name for this sweet girl: her beauty alone is sure to make your heart sing! Joy is so lovely, with apricot markings against a background of sleek, white fur. Her ears, like silky flower petals, are irresistible. In foster care, within a few short days, Joy mastered potty training (with no accidents!), even in the face of extreme cold and snow. Stairs were also a cinch for this bright girl and she can go up and down like a champ. Joy also fit right into the household pack, following her foster brothers’ lead as they explored the mysteries of the great indoors and sought out whatever excitement they could find. If treats are involved, so much the better! Joy is new to foster care and just beginning to learn the pleasures of being in a family. She is shy and cautious, but within days of arriving in her foster home already started feeling a little more comfortable. While Joy still prefers to be approached very slowly and indirectly, when relaxing on her bed, she is beginning to welcome ear rubs and soft petting from her foster mom. My name is Nelly I am super calm girl with a pretty black coat. Some white markings and a little wiry hair. That my foster mom says gives me character! I have had No accidents in the house. I am just learning the roles of a house. I am taking it all in watching quietly from a soft dog bed. Where I will be most of the day napping, like a typical gray. But I really enjoy walks around the neighborhood. With my foster sister Ash. She is also showing me the basket of toys and how fun they can be! Everything is so new and everyone is so nice to me especially these kids. I am getting more and more comfortable in my foster home each day. "I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles, piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited! I'm a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play! My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention!" We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.
