Brisbane it's a very handsome sweet 4-year-old boy. He is very laid back. Has a beautiful blue fawn brindle coat.  He will need a canine sibling as a companion. Him and some other grays have come a long way to find their forever homes!!! (Hence his name the capital of Queensland in Australia.) He is enjoying getting used to the surroundings in his foster home. Learning fast can go up and down stairs in and outside. Has had No accidents in the house. He does well in the car for rides.   He is starting to play with toys,  really liking the squeaky ones. Also enjoys collect things to bring to his bed.  Run around the backyard love going on walks and does wonderful on the leash!! Taking in all the new sights and smells!   If he is not laying in a soft bed for a long naps. Brisbane is up watching and following some one around the house. With those very expressive ears! Everything is new and exciting and so interesting to him. He loves to be loved on and will stand next to you quietly, so you can give that much needed love. Brisbane is wondering if you could be the forever family he is waiting for! Hope to have more soon on this great boy, as we get to know him more!     We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.  Please feel free to complete your application on our website KCREGAP.org April 11, 2025, 11:03 pm

Story
"I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles, piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited!    I'm a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play!   My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention!" We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.  Please feel free to complete your application on our website KCREGAP.orgFebruary 18, 2025, 8:22 pm

Story
Tahoe is a large, muscular boy with striking dark fawn fur, soulful eyes, and a loving heart. He’s playful, enjoys toys, and breaks into a big smile when excited. Tahoe is a terrific walking companion and is fond of long naps on a soft bed where he can curl up tightly. He gently seeks affection and is eager to show affection as well.  Tahoe is ready for his forever home with another medium or larger canine companion.  Tahoe is very curious abut cats but has not shown any aggression, he would need supervision and training for any cats in the home. Could you be the family to open your hearts and home to this sweet boy? We adopt with 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.  Please feel free to complete your application on our website KCREGAP.orgApril 24, 2025, 10:21 pm

Story
Hi there, I’m Enzo and I’m looking for my forever home even though my foster home is super nice! I have beds in all the rooms of the house for sleeping overnight, naps, and supervising my foster parents while they’re working. I learned from my foster siblings what time breakfast and dinner are, and I also learned that if I stare at foster mom long enough, she’ll give in and feed you a little early! I am a handsome big boy, 90 pounds of love. I do fine with my foster greyhound siblings.  I am very curious about cats but not aggressive.  However, I would need supervision and some training around the feline population in my new home. On the other hand,  I actually would also be happy being the only pup in the house so I can get all the attention.  I am very good on car rides and walk like a gentleman on a leash. My foster siblings are fine, but I really enjoy being around humans!!!  I wag my tail every time I see them and ask for pets and attention.  I love leaning into them to make sure I’m as close as I can be.  I would really like to find a forever home of my own—I don’t ask for a lot… just a family who will return the love that I am eager to share! We adopt within 1 1/2 hours of Kansas City.  if you would like you may go directly to our website and complete the application there.  March 21, 2025, 3:55 pm

Story
Gabby is a beautiful, 6-year-old brindle girl who has warm golden eyes and loves to be petted.  Once you start petting her, it's hard to stop because her fur is super soft.  Gabby is easy to walk on a leash and enjoys going for walks.  City sights and sounds are new and curious to this girl after growing up on a farm in a rural area.  Gabby can be shy at first and needs a forever family who is patient, and gentle to gain her trust.  Once you do, she wags her tail whenever she sees you and enjoys sharing affection with you.  Gabby grew up with other dogs and will need a canine sibling of similar size as a buddy.  She loves being outside to enjoy the warmth of the sun and the sounds of nature around her.  Are you possibly  the family who has room in your hearts and home for this sweet girl?  Gabby is great with other medium or larger dogs, but is not cat or small dog safe.
