I may be a senior pup, but I like to think of myself as a senior in high school—60 pounds, so handsome and young-looking! I have the softest brown eyes and best ears, especially when I’m trying to figure out a new sound. After 10 years, I’m just learning how to be a dog, but I think I’ve got the hang of it now! Toys and bones have become some of my favorite things along with lots of love. I know how to play fetch with my plush toys…but I’m only good for about 10min (true greyhound fashion!) I nap most of the day, but if you say “Walk!”, I’m your guy and get so excited to go exploring! I don’t mind 1-2 miles piece of cake. Speaking of treats, yes please!! I’m extra gentle when you give me one. Since I came to KC REGAP, I’ve learned that humans are actually really nice and now I love to meet new people; I get so excited! I’m a special needs guy looking for experienced dog owners who will pick up on my verbal and visual cues. Lucky for me, being in a foster home since coming to KC REGAP, I’ve learned my human’s verbal cues as well. I am not sure about other dogs along the sidewalk, and I definitely don’t do well with small dogs or cats. My foster mom says I would do best with a privacy fence and as an only dog! In the backyard, you won’t find me doing zoomies just yet; I haven’t quite figured that out. However, I have discovered my voice and love to let you hear it when I get excited or am ready to play! My ideal household would be one with older human siblings (teenage+) or adults. Patience is key with me as I learn to trust you; but I will lean in real hard (almost knocking you over) as I show you lots of love and attention! My name is Moxie. I am a beautiful girl!! I have a black and tri-color coat of beautiful wiry hair. I just turned 3 on May 12. I am a very calm girl. I am getting used to my foster home. I’m learning the rules and getting more comfortable each day!! This is all new to me. I have had no accidents in the house!!! I can go up and down stairs. I am also learning that it’s fun to go on walks with my foster sister Ash. She is also showing me the basket of toys and how fun they can be. Everyone is so nice to me, especially the kids. I like my belly rubbed gently. I like to stand quietly or lie in my soft dog bed and watch what’s going on. Especially in the kitchen; it has a great smell. Mr. Solo (Napoleon or Hans) is a 3-year-old Spanish greyhound (Galgo) who is doing very well adjusting to his retirement. He really loves people and will follow you around in the house and stay pretty close. He appears to show an affinity toward men, although he is also affectionate toward women. He will seek out your hand as he loves a nice pet and will push his nose in for a good head scratch. He adores walks but is happy to spend time in a fenced yard meditating while staring at almost nothing. He gets along well with housemates either as a pillow or providing cushioning for them. Toys are a source of entertainment – more to carry and sleep with than to play with. Learning simple commands has been easy thus far as he’s more interested in pleasing his people than eating the treat. He is the sweetest and loves everyone he meets, human or canine. He loves games of fetch, exploring the yard (chasing squirrels!) and especially chewing on his favorite toy. Spending time with people is tops! He even takes long moments just to lovingly gaze into your eyes. He has a calm, sweet side and loves to snuggle and give hugs - his hugs are super gentle!  Dice will thrive in a family that will cherish him and include him in all of their adventures. Approximate Birthdate:  Dec 2020 Adoption Fee: Dice's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor! TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL.
