Story
MEET AJAX! Ajax is a 6-1/2-year-old Greyhound-Pittie-Shepherd mix, in need of a foster or forever home. Ajax is a special boy who needs a special person to work with him and help him through some of his issues. He is the type of dog who bonds intensely to his person, and thus any transition is a challenge (and in fact, transitioning him to you could be challenging). But once he bonds to you, he's loyal to you forever. Ajax would be a great companion for an active person who wants a mix of a couch potato and active canine pal. Physically, Ajax is a quirky boy! He's got a pittie face, shepherd ears and long legs. He loves to run and play, and he loves his toys, too. He would do well with an experienced adopter or foster who can provide him with love and attention and some basic obedience training. He was once adopted a couple years ago but returned for jumping up on the adopters. But he was loyal to them, too. He has done well with most most dogs but would thrive as an only dog, too. He's not a van of the vet, so needs to wear a muzzle if he goes. Ajax weighs 57 lbs. If you can foster or adopt him, and have dog experience, please email for an application. He is currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Washington.

Story
Looking for a foster home! 3 year old toy chasing gentleman. Basil is a bright, athletic boy who never raced, but he certainly runs like he could have. He loves to chase and is clever enough to anticipate where you’ll throw the toy — half the fun for him is outsmarting the arc of the toss. He’ll happily sprint after any toy with full enthusiasm, and after a few good chases, he settles into a calm, companionable rhythm. Around other dogs, Basil shows lovely social manners. When the group settles, he’ll offer a polite greeting, remain relaxed, and keep things low‑key. Once allowed to meet, he’s soft, steady, and respectful. He’s tolerant of pushy dogs. He is the perfect blend of playful energy and easygoing companionship — a smart, sweet boy who enjoys fun but ultimately just wants to hang out with his people. Western Washington

Foster Mia is a thoughtful little soul who takes her time getting to know new people, but once she decides you’re safe, her sweetness shines. She’s lived in a home before and even with cats, so she understands the rhythm of family life. Mia has a fun, playful streak that comes out once she’s comfortable — she’ll happily chase after toys and enjoys a good burst of silliness. She may start off cautious, but she truly loves to play and connect once she feels secure. She’s the kind of girl who blossoms with patience, kindness, and a calm environment. Give her a little time, and she’ll give you her whole heart. Western Washington
