Story
Beagle lovers, meet Dusty — the sweetest, most lovable beagle you’ll ever meet.
When he first arrived at the shelter, he had been very neglected and was unsure of his new surroundings. With time, care, vetting, and lots of love in his foster home, he’s blossomed into a confident, happy pup who now proudly rules the roost. Dusty is 6 years old, weighs 28 pounds, and is the perfect cuddle size. He adores chasing squirrels in the backyard and absolutely lives for his walks. He’ll track, sniff, and give you a classic beagle howl or two — he takes his job seriously!
He’s friendly with everyone he meets and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in his foster home, but can get a bit excited or reactive when seeing them on walks. Dusty would love to find a family with kids or playmates to keep him busy and entertained. While he enjoys running and playing outside, Dusty is calm, gentle, and well-behaved indoors. He’s fully potty trained and trustworthy to roam freely in the house when you’re away.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate beagle buddy — Dusty is ready to fill your
home with love, laughter, and a few joyful howls.
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
