Meet Zadee! ❤️ Pronounced as you would say Sadie An 8-year-old Havanese girl who has overcome a tough past and is now enjoying improved health. After years of discomfort from severely rotten teeth and multiple mammary tumors, she underwent several surgeries and has made an incredible recovery. This resilient little lady is ready to live her best life as a cherished companion! Gone are the days of neglect. Zadee is an independent gal, super low-maintenance. Not into toys, but does enjoy the occasional dress-up. Her favorite spot? Curled up on a cozy bed of blankets or a lap. She enjoys the occasional leisurely walk to get her sniff on and LOVES a car ride. Good with older teens and can possibly coexist with other calm senior dogs. Shes just loves her peaceful space. Zadee does show a playful, excited side when it’s mealtime. She gives a fun little dance that will make you smile. We have also taught her “speak” and she will bark on command for food. She is a true foodie. Zadee is crate trained, housebroken when taken out regularly, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and fully ready to meet her forever family. She’s been through a lot and would love a patient loving home to let her rest in cozy places. Somebody get me out of this old age home! That’s what Boomer is saying about his stay here. Boomer is a very healthy, playful, and active 11-year-old Havanese/Terrier mix. While the other dogs who live here are happy to nap the day away, Boomer loves to run and go for long walks. He really needs to find a great new home who can give him the time and exercise he would like. He is friendly with other dogs when outside but he can be quite territorial in the house. Therefore, we are looking for a home with no other animals. Boomer came to us after he was surrendered by his owner to the shelter. His owner said he didn’t like children, so adults-only homes please. During Boomer’s behavior test at the shelter, he showed signs of resource guarding for food and toys. We have worked with him on that but his new home must know how to continue this training. We are hoping to find the ideal home for Boomer. We learned that his previous owner was physically and verbally abusive to him. As a result, Boomer can be fearful at times. If he thinks he’s going to be scolded, he retreats to the sofa or a corner. He needs a new home that will be patient and loving with him, as well as knowledgeable on how to deal with his behavior challenges. If any force is used on him, he will try to protect himself. Boomer is smart. He knows how to sit, stay, and come, and also gives kisses on command. He really wants to be a loving, trusting dog. He has come a long way since he arrived here.
