Hello, my name is: LollipopDOB: 03/20/2026Weight: 11.5 lbsSex/Breed: Spayed female Havanese/Miniature PoodleRescued From: Breeding kennel*SPECIAL NEEDS: LOLLIPOP HAS SEVERE CONGENITAL HYDROCEPHALUS & TAKES MEDICATION TO CONTROL SEIZURES*Little Lollipop is a special soul looking for an equally special adopter. She needs someone who understands that, while the length of time they will have with her will be limited, it doesn’t mean she deserves any less than full devotion. Lollipop came to us from a commercial kennel after her previous family returned her to the breeder due to ongoing seizures and concerns about her health. We were happy to step up for this special little girl and get her the answers and medical care she needed! Following an evaluation by a veterinary neurologist and an MRI, Lollipop was diagnosed with severe congenital hydrocephalus, a condition she was born with that caused an abnormal buildup of fluid in her brain, significantly affecting its development. This condition is responsible for her seizures, which are now being successfully managed with medication given every 8 hours. We`re thrilled to share that Lollipop has not had a single seizure since starting treatment! While her condition is serious and her long-term prognosis is uncertain, we`re grateful that she`s doing so well and enjoying life in her foster home! Lollipop is a sweet, happy little girl. While she may not be much of a snuggler, she loves being near her people and enjoys their company. She gets along well with other dogs, especially small dogs she feels comfortable playing with, and she’s also good with cats. Lollipop loves spending time outdoors, where she can run, explore, and have fun.We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to give Lollipop an amazing, full life for whatever time she has. It’s unfair that she’s been dealt this hand, but she doesn’t see herself as any different from her friends. She simply wants to enjoy life and all the fun and comfort it has to offer. Meet Chloe! Chloe is a 5 month old small breed mix, possibly havanese. She is playful, good with kids and while not currently fostered with another dog, she was reported to do well with others in the shelter. Chloe is working on potty training. Shes currently 10 pounds and would make a great companion ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. She came into my life in 2020 and has been a very special part of my family ever since. She is a loving, loyal, and wonderful companion who deserves a home where she can feel safe, understood, and cared for.She would do best with an experienced adopter who understands that she needs patience, consistency, and time to adjust. She is not comfortable around children, especially babies and young children, and would be happiest in an adult-only home. She also has some resource-guarding behaviors that will require an experienced person who is willing to work with her calmly and consistently. She is on prozac and clonidine. With the right guidance, patience, and a structured environment, these behaviors can be managed and improved.I am looking for a responsible, experienced person who will give her the time and understanding she needs to build trust and feel secure. She has so much love to give and deserves a home that is committed to helping her thrive.
