Sky was abandoned by her previous owners and had been living on the streets for months when we first found her. Despite being let down by people, she hasn't let that affect her ability to trust and love. She is very affectionate and loves receiving pets. She has a very sweet temperament and gets along well with other dogs. Sky loves going on walks and exploring. She would make a great adventure buddy! She's been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and is on flea and tick prevention. She does not have any special needs or medical issues that we are aware of.

Story

Parker is a very treat-oriented sweet girl. She loves her treats which makes training a lot easier. She was picked up by animal control wandering the streets of San Diego, and we got her from the shelter. Parker loves her walks and like most Huskies, will figure out how to walk herself if she's not being walked regularly. She enjoys playing with other dogs and getting attention (she puts her nose under your hand so you know she wants to get pet). We recommend she go to a home with an experienced adopter because she has two quirks. She can be toy and treat protective. If she has a treat, she won't let it go. She may also have some sensitivities about being pulled by her collar. Now that she knows me, I can pull her, but she may snap if someone she doesn't know pulls her by the collar. We always put a leash on her and pull her and she has no problems with that. If you'd like to meet her in La Mesa, please email me. At the end of 2019, a friend on Instagram posted a picture of a dog they had to rehome due to family issues. I've always loved animals and felt compassion for Nala, so I offered to take her in. She became a part of the family and adjusted over time. Nala is a loving, energetic, and playful pet. She loves walks/running. She loves belly rubs but also likes to be independent and left alone at times. When playing, she likes to be vocal. She would make a perfect fit with someone who is active and loves being outdoors.

In training Courtesy post Transferred to The Heroic Tail Rescue Buddha is a sweet 6 yr old male Chow Chow mix that has a mild temperament. He is in training which will be completed soon. He’s house trained, crate trained, and also responsive to commands. Buddha does well on the leash and enjoys a lot of play time in the yard. This big teddy bear will play fetch with you for hours and yes, he’ll even return the ball! Buddha would do well in a home where they can respect him not being overly affectionate. Older considerate children over 15, as it is important that everyone in the household can respect his boundaries. Chows can be very affectionate but on their own terms. He very much has a Chow personality and it’s recommended his adopter knows the breed well. Buddha never wants to do any wrong and always hopes on making his owner happy and proud. He bonds deeply with his person and just needs a home where he can do so freely at his own slow pace! He is pretty low maintenance, meaning he does not require miles of running a day and is good with other dogs although he would prefer to be the only dog in the house. He’s a great dog for someone who will take him on walks but also will just relax at home...a place where he’s treated as family, taking him to run errands and visit new walking trails is how simple it is to make this guy happy.
