Story
Rocket was born with a neurological condition that affects the way she walks. Smooth surfaces cause her back legs to splay out beneath her, but she navigates grass & dirt more easily. She is fully house-trained and has no accidents indoors as long as she has access to the yard.Personality-wise, Rocket is one of the funniest dogs we’ve ever known. She is quite the character & makes us laugh daily. Rocket’s happy place is outdoors. She spends most of her day relaxing on her bed in the shade. Because of her mobility challenges, a secure yard with unrestricted outdoor access is an absolute requirement for her. She does best when she can move between inside and outside whenever she chooses. This is not a decision we have made lightly. Due to a combination of factors, including a long military deployment, health challenges, & the increasing financial demands of caring for multiple animals, we have made the difficult decision to seek an exceptional home for Rocket.

Story
Meet Mousey, this almost seniorish boy is around 7 years old. He was relinquished to a high kill shelter in Downy by his owner who could no longer care for him. Mouse is around 90 lbs and is nothing but a lover boy. He seeks affection from anyone who will give it to him. He doesn't quite understand his size and would be best suited for a home with older kids (12 and up). Mouse was scheduled to be euthanized for space. Luckily with the amazing help of the community he was transported and found a safe foster in San Diego. He has all the quirky attributes of a husky and malamute. He's strong and is working on his leash skills. He's active and curious. Mousey loves to play with his ball and other toys. He is very vocal and loves to demand attention from his humans. He'd do best with canine friends who love to play and a yard to romp around in.

Story
Meet Daytona! Daytona is a 1-year-old Husky mix with a big heart, playful energy, and an even bigger love for cuddles. She’s the kind of dog who is just as happy chasing a ball at the dog park as she is curling up next to you on the couch afterward. And if you have tennis balls lying around… consider yourself warned — Daytona believes every ball was made to be destroyed. She’s house trained, crate trained, and does great with other animals, kids, and people when given proper introductions. Daytona can be a little timid around new people or dogs at first, especially when someone unexpectedly comes through the door, so she’ll do best with a patient owner who can continue helping her build confidence and feel secure in new situations. Daytona would thrive in a home with another dog or other animals to play with and learn from. She loves running, playing, exploring, and being included in everyday life. While she has a fun, energetic side, she’s also incredibly affectionate and would gladly snuggle up beside you in bed if invited. She’s currently working on things like barking when strangers arrive and improving her recall, so she’ll do best with an experienced dog owner — or someone willing to give her gentle guidance, consistency, and lots of encouragement as she continues growing into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a loving, playful dog with a sweet soul and lots of personality, Daytona might just be your perfect match.
