Size

Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
I adopted Oso from the San Diego Humans Society about a year and a half ago. They estimated he was about 1 year old then so I think he is about 2 1/2 or 3 ish now. He such an exceptional dog and truly deserves the best forever home. He is seriously the easiest dog. Doesn’t bark, great passenger in the car, good with cats and kids, super low maintenance, lives an adventure but will also chill with you on the couch, and just a total sweet heart. He likes to be right next to his person, but is also content all day while I’m off at work. With my work schedule and moving to a smaller place, I am unable to care for him and give him the attention he deserves. I am hoping to help him find his forever home!

Story
Cody was originally adopted and his owners kept him for 6 years and treated him well. They moved to San Diego recently but had trouble with their landlord, so he is currently staying in a foster home. He walked into the foster home calmly and did his own thing (sniffing, looking around). He was gentle, sweet and calm with the other dogs in the home. One in particular loves him and playing with him. He is aware of his size and does not play rough. He does not bark at or react to people walking in front of the house (despite my own dogs barking). Cody instead looks at me almost to say, "all good?" If another dog tries to be aggressive with him, he will likely go to you for consoling. He does not fight and has a sweet, gentle nature. I have fostered over 20 dogs and I have never fostered or had a dog like Cody before. He's a very special and kind dog. I am looking for a home that will give him the love and care that he deserves (the fee can be sent to an animal rescue -it is not for me).

Story
How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by their previous owner/a community member/our Humane Law Enforcement team, transferred in from another animal welfare organization, born in care on July 14, 2026. Why this pet is the one for you:Belladonna is a sweet, energetic puppy who has made wonderful progress since arriving in our care. While she was initially fearful and sensitive to handling, she has blossomed with familiar people, happily accepting treats, seeking out pets, playing with toys, and enjoying walks on leash. Like many young puppies, she can get excited and may gently mouth hands, the leash, or treat pouches, but she responds well to redirection and is eager to learn. Belladonna would thrive in a home that can provide consistent training, plenty of mental and physical enrichment, and the patience to help her continue building her confidence. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for adoption! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 30.25 Age: 0yrs 8mths 0wks

Story
Meet Hope! 🐾 Hope is a resilient, young Husky mix who survived being hit by a car in Mexico. After surgery and an extensive recovery, she is fully healed, running, playing, and ready for her forever home! Personality & Household Fit: 🏡 Family Friendly: She is kid-, dog-, and cat-friendly! Classic Husky Charm: Smart, loyal, high-energy, and delightfully vocal when she wants your attention. Greeting New Dogs: Strange dogs can still be a little scary for her, so she needs proper, calm introductions. Having a confident older dog in the home to show her the ropes would be ideal. Leash Skills: Leash walking was completely new to her when she entered foster care. She is making great progress but needs an adopter with patience and guidance to continue her training. Meeting Strangers: She can be slightly cautious at first, but gentle pets quickly win her over and turn her into everyone’s best friend. Is Hope the fun-loving, active companion you’ve been looking for? Apply to adopt her today!

Daytona

Husky American Pit Bull Terrier

Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Daytona! Daytona is a 1.5 year-old Husky mix with a big heart, playful energy, and an even bigger love for cuddles. She’s the kind of dog who is just as happy chasing a ball at the dog park as she is curling up next to you on the couch afterward. And if you have tennis balls lying around… consider yourself warned — Daytona believes every ball was made to be destroyed. She’s house trained, crate trained, and does great with other animals, older predictable kids, and people when given proper introductions. Daytona can be a little timid around new people or dogs at first, especially when someone unexpectedly comes through the door, so she’ll do best with a patient owner who can continue helping her build confidence and feel secure in new situations. Daytona would thrive in a home with another dog who she can learn the ropes from. She loves running, playing, exploring, and being included in everyday life. While she has a fun, energetic side, she’s also incredibly affectionate and would gladly snuggle up beside you in bed if invited. She’s currently working on things like barking when strangers arrive and improving her recall, so she’ll do best with an experienced dog owner — or someone willing to give her gentle guidance, consistency, and lots of encouragement as she continues growing into an amazing companion. If you’re looking for a loving, playful dog with a sweet soul and lots of personality, Daytona might just be your perfect match.
