Story
How this pet arrived: Zoe was brought in by a community member on June 7, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Zoe, a sweet girl with a gentle soul and a playful side waiting to shine! Zoe can be a bit shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings, so she's looking for an adopter who will give her the time and patience she needs to feel safe. Once she opens up, she is an energetic gal who enjoys chasing after toys, receiving pets and bonding with her favorite humans! Zoe may prefer to be the only pup in the home, and she'd do best without young kids. If you do have another dog, we'd love to set up a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good match. With gentleness and understanding, Zoe will become your loving and loyal companion! Come in and ask about adopting her today! At SDHS:Zoe has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Shy/Fearful Dog: Zoe requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about her. Primary Color: White Weight: 48.8 Age: 2yrs 6mths 1wks

Story
How this pet arrived: Hunter was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on September 30, 2025.Why this pet is the one for you:Hunter might be on a "rest-and-relaxation" kick right now, but he's still got plenty of charm to share! This sweet guy has been through a lot lately, and after receiving much-needed medical care (we suspect he may have been hit by a car), he's now enjoying a calmer routine and focusing on rebuilding his strength. He's feeling much better, though we do recommend following up with your veterinarian to monitor his continued progress. We're still getting to know Hunter, and so far we've learned that he loves treats, belly rubs, and having those classic Husky conversations, and car rides. Due to a mixed history with other dogs, a dog-to-dog introduction on site is required to ensure a good match. Hunter would do best in a home with children ages 6 and up, and in an environment that can limit his exposure to unfamiliar dogs. He also benefits from slow, thoughtful introductions to new people and places, helping him feel safe and confident as he settles in. Think you're ready to meet this resilient guy? Hunter's calendar is wide open for naps, snacks, and taking over your couch. Come in and ask about adopting him today! At SDHS:Hunter has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!Dog Reactive Dog:  This pet requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.
