Story
COURTESY POST: Nenana was recently rescued off the euthanasia list at a Southern CA shelter. She is a beautiful, friendly girl who was housed during her shelter stay with a male husky, and also did well in a play yard with a shepherd, therefore we feel she would do well both as a only pet or joining a family with other dogs. She loves to snuggle in blankets and is seeking her happily ever after. Nenana is estimated to be about 5 years old and 63 lbs. She is being fostered in Orange County. Please reach out if interested in meeting her!

Story
COURTESY POST Skye is a handsome boy who was recently rescued off the deadline list at a Southern CA shelter. During his shelter stay, he was kenneled with a female husky, and also met a shepherd while all 3 were in the play yard together, therefore we feel Skye would do well both in a home as an only dog or joining a home with other dogs as he likes to play. Skye had originally do, came into the shelter as a stray. He is already neutered, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. Skye is approximately 5 years old and 52 lbs. He is being fostered in Orange County. Please reach out if you are interested in meeting Skye.

Story
Blue was picked from a friends litter. We have had him since he was 9 weeks old. He is about three years old now. He is extremely dedicated to his owner and very territorial. He becomes jealous easy and wants lots of attention. He is not good around children and does okay with other dogs. He loves his walks and to be played with. He is crate trained and potty trained. He eats two times a day. His new home would be best to have no children and maybe one other dog, although I think he would be fine with multiple dogs. He is very playful and sweet. He can be aggressive when jealous. He enjoys being in the house and sleeps in his crate indoors at night.

I adopted Elora at the humane society. She is 2 years old. She was found as a stray but had already been spayed which led us to believe that was owned before. She’s very scared of people.

Story
How this pet arrived:Sunny was brought in by her previous owner. At SDHS:Sunny is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home! Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Sunny! This energetic girl is ready to explore the world with you! She loves long leash walks. Sunny would do best in a home as the only dog so that she can soak up all of your love and attention. She's also not a fan of cats, so she's required to go to a home without cats. Since she's very strong and energetic, we recommend she go to a home without young kids (under 10). As a Siberian Husky, Sunny has the extremely high energy and loud, proud singing that comes with the breed. If you would like to meet Sunny and add a little sunshine to your life, visit our Escondido campus. Bring a leash and collar so you can take Sunny home!
